[Video] Infinity Shred: "Mapper"

The music video for chiptune/electronic band Infinity Shred's "Mapper" from their latest album, Sanctuary, was recently premiered on The Verge. Written, edited, and directed by Dean C. Marcial (of Brooklyn film studio, Calavera), the video re-appropriates Marcial's short film, Darkmatter, mixed in with the band's song. The narrative follows two astronauts on a surreal journey after their rocket blows up in space. "Mapper" is filtered through a '70s-esque lens with Soviet Union font displayed throughout the film, creating this psuedo-retro space story that perfectly fits the band's post-rock influenced chiptune sound. Watch the video below and pick up Infinity Shred's Sanctuary if you're feeling it.
