RH Music: The RTC Post
This week saw the release of two new projects from our in house DJ, DJ RTC. We've done the easy thing and put them both here for your enjoyment. [Mixtape] QuEST X DJ RTC: One Month Left
Faithful RH readers are no stranger to QuEST. The emcee out of Miami gained exposure in the new calendar year through multiple posts and a cosign by 2DB and IllRoots. We featured QuEST in our First Look section a couple months back, and the emcee enlisted me to mix and host his new mixtape, There's Only One Month Left. The mixtape is the precursor to his formal debut album, Broken Headphones, and I'm very happy with it. Boasting guest appearances from Donny Goines, Prezzure, Naledge of Kidz In The Hall, GLC, XV and more, There's Only One Month Left is 18 tracks giving you a taste of what's to come from QuEST, and the mixing/DJing isn't too shabby either, haha...Download and tracklist after the jump.
QuEST: "I Will"
QuEST goes in over Kanye's "Say You Will", and does an excellent job. I wanted to get this up yesterday, but have to give myself the late pass. I'll make up for it though come June 28th, when QuEST releases his new mixtape, Only One Month Left, which will be hosted by (drumroll please) DJ RTC...So there you go...Get the new track below.
RH First Look: QuESt
Drake doesn’t over saturate at all and when you hear a new record from him it’s like, "'Oh s**t did you hear that new Drake record?'" Says Miami up and comer, QuEST. While he's been a mainstay on sites such as 2dopeboyz and illRoots (who happen to be presenting his upcoming mixtape), he's not confused about his own standing in the larger Hip Hop world. "You talk to people about QuESt and there’s more people saying, 'Who’s QuESt?' then people saying, 'Oh s**t that’s QuESt!' I got to pay my dues and let people know who I am."
