Chicago's own Highlife is back with a video for his latest release, "We Only Come Out At Night" is the lead single off Highlife's upcoming complete project and comes complete with a Smashing Pumpkins sample over the opening of the track. [RH First Glance] Young Lungs: "Make It Happen"
This track comes to us from Canada, the land of Drake, denim and maple syrup. Young Lungs is a 15 year old that has spent seemingly every moment of the less than two decades he's spent on this earth gobbling up every classic hip-hop track ever made. Seriously, the kid can spit some bars and I'm always blown away by the musical and hip-hop knowledge that this young generation of artists has been able to cultivate via tools like the Internet. Check out Young Lungs track "Make It Happen," premiered on Mishka's blog, here below and cop the full album here.
[Video] Z-Money: "Jockin'"
Z-Money has been making waves around Chicago and national hip-hop scenes since dropping Heroin Musik earlier this year to skeptical critical acclaim. The mysterious Z-Money, who alleges to not do interviews, has been just that for me to a certain extent, a question mark on the scene I still don't know I have figured out. Regardless, he has an undeniable buzz and persona that will hook even the most staunchly lyrical hip-hop fan. Check out his video for "Jockin" below here.

Eminem: "Rap God"
Man, the internet just moves too quick. Eminem attempted to tease out his latest single, "Rap God," off his upcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2. The plans were to release a series of clues, but the song leaked in Europe before the first hint could hit the net, thus the stream via Youtube below. The song, as far as beats are concerned, is very different for Shady, with some of the electronic and house-y elements that grew out of his hometown and now grace neon festivals across the country. As always, Em is on point with his flow, riding a frenetic beat that would give even the best MC a headache and tied tongue. Perhaps it's a beat made for a Rap God? Decide for yourself below.
Favorite Line: "I don't know how to make songs, I don't know what words to use/Let me know when it occurs to you/While I'm ripping any of these verses"

Nunca Duerma & Jaws That Bite: "The Haunt"
Nunca Duerma is back with a collaboration with genre-bending Detroit native Jaws That Bite. A true musician with a name that matches, Jaws That Bite has built a steady following for himself in the midwest through his ability to seamlessly trade light synths for hard guitar riffs and fill in the space between the two admirably.

[Video] Psalm One: "Need Love Too"
Psalm One is looking for love, at least in this Elijah Alvarado-directed video for her latest track, "Need Love Too" off her most recent release, Free Hugs. The Rhymesayers MC takes a seat for a trippy video dating service and some decent acting as well. Psalm has had a busy summer, performing at Millennium Park with Dessa and doing a set last month at North Coast Music Festival. Not sure where they got the b-roll but the cameo date seekers are hilarious. Psalm does her thing on the quick-paced sample heavy beat. Video below.
