Those who've been fans of Ruby Hornet might remember a photos series called The Lens and The Life. Its was a bi-weekly photo blog of photos I shot during the previous weeks. A lot has changed since the last TL&TL post - I live in a new city (Austin,TX), have a new job, and love to cook. This is the return of The Lens and The Life, and I hope you guys enjoy it.
There was a lot going on in Austin last week: The Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival, The Austin Food and Wine Festival, a performance by Band of Horses at Stubb's BBQ, and a sold-out Lumineers show at the 360Amphitheater. Hit the jump to check out the photos.
RH Photos: Rick Ross Interview w/DJ RTC
This s**t is kind of a blur to me now, as a lot was going on at the PHLI store yesterday during the Rick Ross media session. Anyway, RubyHornet was given an interview with The Bawse and I was able to go beard to the beard. We'll have the full video clip later this afternoon. I talked to Rick Ross about how the definition of "Hustlin'" has changed since his debut album, the place of Chicago in his heart and career, "Free Masons", and why his new album is his best to date. RH Photos: U-N-I's Midwest Weekend Pt. 1
Last weekend Cali's U-N-I made their first trip to the Midwest, making a stop in Madison, WI before continuing onto Chicago and hosting our Creme De La Creme at Lava Lounge. We were told to meet Thurz and YO for their show at the University of Wisconsin at 11 AM Friday morning. So, we packed our ish, left Mano's bday party early and headed out bright and early to UW. Just after crossing the Wisconsin border, we learned that the show was actually at 11PM, which made a lot more sense, and left us with a day to take in the beauty that is the University of Wisconsin. What follows are our photos from the show, and what will follow that are pics from our night on the town that included two college house parties, randomly running into Hollywood Holt and checking in with DJ Benzi who was also in town.
