[RH Contest] Win a pair of tickets to see Killer Mike + El-P in Austin on 8/5

[Update: The winner for this contest is @savr_one. Thank you to everybody that entered our contest!]

Run the Jewels has been one of the best hip hop albums of the year so far, with Killer Mike and El-P's joint performance at Pitchfork last weekend one of the highlights of Sunday's shows. Austinites that weren't able to catch them at Pitchfork will have their chance next week on August 5th. Knuckle Rumbler presents the all-ages show at Mohawk, which also features Despot and Kool A.D. on the bill.

While you can purchase tickets to the show, we're going to make it a little easier for you guys. We have a pair of tickets for the show; all you need to do to enter is tweet us why you want to catch Run the Jewels live with "#RHtheJewels" attached. The best response will have the tickets at will-call. You have until Sunday night to enter. Good luck! Don't forget about our ongoing Closed Sessions contest, as well.

Pitchfork Music Festival Recap 2013

pitchfork music festival 2013 by virgil solis

As hot as it was this weekend, (thank the sweet lord for the breeze), the heat didn't stop all the cool kids from coming out to see their favorites at this year's Pitchfork music festival. Union Park was crowded with fans, as it was with tons of local food and art vendors. The full photo set from Pitchfork Music Festival 2013 will be coming up soon, as well as a special R. Kelly-exclusive post where we share our thoughts on his performance.

[Video] Run the Jewels: "36 Chain"

Peep the debut video from Run The Jewels, better known as El-P, Killer Mike, and [arguably] Mr. Killums, titled "36 Chain" from their self titled debut album, 36 Chain. The video, shot by Timothy Saccenti, features El and Killer as vigilante puppet avengers (see below) who take their work very seriously. Check out the cameos from Andrew W.K., Amber Tamblyn, and a few former members of Das Racist, too.
