[Songs of the Day] 3/26/14 (Feat. Chance The Rapper, SZA, Sam Smith & More)

Alright, an post-SXSW Song of the Day is back with a ton of good tracks to get you through the hump of the week. Leading things off is Chance The Rapper's latest, "Home Studio", produced with his team, The Social Experiment in his California-based home studio. The track features more of Chance's evolution into singing and adding vocal runs which seems to get better with every track. Chano also popped up on TDE-affiliate SZA's latest track, "Child's Play" which dropped the same day, alongside another familiar face in Vic Mensa who got on Asher Roth's latest, "Live Fast" off his upcoming project, RetroHash. Jerome LOL offered up a screeching, up-tempo electronic jam in "Feel It For The First Time" while The Code gave fans an ambient feel with their latest in "Her". SaudiMoney linked with another TDE member in Ab-Soul as he offered up a mouthful of a track on "Alejandro Jodorowsky Flow" and California product by way of Chicago, Lee Woods, put her own unique spin on The Spice Girls' iconic track "Say You'll Be There" as she resurrects the 90s on her recently-released Girl Power project. Bringing up the end is none other than British falsetto Sam Smith who offers up something new on "Stay With Me". It's all streaming below, folks.

[Songs of the Day] 3/7/14 (Feat. Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala & Lil Boosie)

....And it's Friday. We're back with the latest songs to hit the Internet and keep you tied over til Monday. Leading things off is yet another hit from Big K.R.I.T. who takes a page out of Vic Mensa's book in "Egyptian Cotton" while an amazing collaboration took place between Kendrick Lamar and Tame Impala who got together for "Backwards" as part of what appears to be the soundtrack of the year for 'Divergent'. RL Grime and What So Not got together on a dance number for "Tell Me" and Casey Veggies gave listeners a new one in "Anything Goes" and Lil Boosie, fresh out of prison let everyone know things aren't that different on "Same Game". Thursday brought about some new heat to warm our nasty March and leading things off we have a pair of tracks dedicated to another world. Along with the announcement of a "Game of Thrones" mixtape titled Catch The Throne, due out tomorrow came two tracks, Wale's "King Slayer" and Big Boi's "Mother of Dragons", stay posted for the rest of the tracklisting. Big K.R.I.T. continued his solid flow of new content by teaming up with Childish Major for another cinema-inspired track in "Wolf of Wall St.". Chuck Inglish teased his upcoming album with a very dope track with fellow Chicagoan Chance The Rapper for "Glam" which will wear out your repeat button in a hurry. A couple dance numbers got in the mix with Nick Nikon's "100 Deep" and a remix of M.I.A.'s "Y.A.L.A." anthem by Falcons. Mac DeMarco continued to prove why he's a rising star with his latest, "Brother" and St. Vincent once again showed she can do no wrong on "Del Rio". Columbia College's AEMMP Records released another track from their upcoming album, La Collection, produced entirely by C-Sick. The track, "All Love" features Taylor Bennett, NoNameGypsy & Nick Astro. Tuesday gave us plenty of ammo for today's Songs of the Day and we got them all wrapped up and ready to go for you. Big K.R.I.T. goes back to back with new releases, this time dropping a new freestyle via XXL titled "Conscious" while De La Soul, fresh off the heels of breaking open their music vaults for free a few weeks ago, released their latest ode to Dilla with their new track "Dilla Plugged In" which features production from the legendary Detroit producer. L'Orange impressed with a new track featuring veteran MC Blu in "Need You". Dance duo Chromeo continued to tease their upcoming album White Women with a new track in "Jealous ( I Ain't With It)". Also preparing listeners for a new project was the duo of The Alchemist & Budgie who dropped "In Heaven's Home" with Roc Marciano & ProdigyLupe Fiasco linked with Ab-Soul for "Thorns and Horns" while Phoenix got a remix of their track "SOS In Bel-Air" from Ariel Pink and Sharon Van Etten debuted "Taking Chances". The weekend gave us a plethora of new tracks to sift through, and we got them all organized and ready to stream here as we get into another week of Songs of the Day. Starting things off is Smoke DZA who linked up with TDE's Ab-Soul for the dark track, "Hearses" and newcomer Sunni Colon continued an impressive run of singles in the lead up to his new project, this time dropping a demo of "Voyage/Light Years". Big K.R.I.T. offered his sentimental, thoughtful southern drawl on "New Agenda" with Rick Ross, who's Mastermind album leaked today, a day ahead of the scheduled March 4 date. Coldplay's "Midnight" got a remix from Marcus Schossow, Kevin Gates made a comeback of sorts with "Get Up On My Level", Lil Herb & Lil Bibby linked back up for a new song in "At Night" while fellow Chicagoan Chief Keef dropped a new one,"No Cashiers" as we wait on Bang 4, the unordered prelude to Bang 3. A$AP Ferg did his thing on Bobby Johnson's banger "OG Bobby Johnson", Mic Terror teased his show at the Hard Rock Chicago on March 7 with a new song "N.W.G." while Coldplay satisfied a large part of the population by releasing their latest single in "Magic". Monday brought about a bunch of new songs from all corners of the music world. We gathered all the best releases from the weekend and today. Meek Demeo's track "Paper Birds" featuring Kendrick Lamar got a remix from Galimatias that takes the song up a notch higher than it already was, Young Money teased their upcoming collaboration album with "Senile" by Tyga, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne. A Billion Young appropriately tapped Brian Fresco for his latest single, "Fresco" while Young Thug continued on a tear of singles, the most recent of which is "Ouch". Romeo Santos got with Nicki Minaj as well, tapping her for his hit "Animales" while Taylor Bennett got together with Loyale Soule to pay homage to a good friend in the soulful "Brother Man".  A$AP Ant became the latest of the A$AP Mob to emerge on the public sphere, this time with his single, "Zaytoven" while Koda kept things moving in his latest, "Invitation to Love".  Alex Wiley and Closed Sessions continued a powerful start to 2014 with another fresh new song in "Own Man" which pairs him with talented Chicagoan Mick Jenkins and Big Boi continued his "Mash-up Mondays" series with a collab with none other than Phantogram, which resulted in the ridiculously funky, "Objectum Shalamar". Also, Joell Ortiz reminds folks he still has "Bars". All this and more, below!

Another day, another batch of songs, here's today's songs of the day for the 21st of February. Paper Diamond continued a steady stream of jams by releasing "Wylin" with LOUDPVCK to celebrate his Pro Partnership with Soundcloud. Chief Keef kept the tracks coming with "Save Me", newcomer LIZ showed up with "Say U Will", Young Thug gave us "Geek'd Up", while Milwaukee product Klassik offered up a remix of Thug's song "Danny Glover". Norwegian Maya Vik continued to produce beautiful music with her latest song, "Totally Right" and Chicago MC Highlife released "True Lies". Rounding out the day was Ty Dolla $igns star-studded remix of "Or Nah" produced by The Weeknd and featuring Wiz Khalifa and James Blake, operating under his DJ name Harmonimix, remixed Kendrick Lamar's anthem, "m.A.A.d City". [Songs of the Day] 2/20/14 (Feat. Ashanti, Frank Ocean, Jagwar Ma & More)

Things were a little late on Thursday for releases over the Internet, but we got a resurgence from a familiar name, a re-hashing of a track, and some freshness from around the web. Taking us back to 2002 for a moment, Ashanti dropped a single from her upcoming album, BraveHeart, due out on March 14. The song is called "First Real Love" and features 'King of the Dance Hall" Beenie Man. Long Beach, Calif., product Vince Staples dropped "Nate" featuring James Fauntleroy while Blue Sky Black Death released a way late remix of Frank Ocean's track "Pyramids" off his last project, Channel Orange. Jagwar Ma also received a remix, this one by MssngNo for the track, "Uncertainty" and the consonant-heavy artist Nguzunguzu gave listeners a dance track to sleep to in "The Perfect Lullaby Vol. II".
