[Songs of the Day] 3/5/14 (Feat. JODY, Big Sean, Leather Corduroys & More)

Wednesday brought about more music, and it's all here for you to enjoy. Big Sean got quite a canvas from which to spit as Kanye West and DJ Mustard teamed up on the production side for "Sanctified", a soul-entrenched sample piece that has everyone's distinct skills on display. The talented duo of SaveMoney rappers Kami De Chukwu and Joey Purp dropped a new track, "Dat Strong" as their alias Leather Corduroys (what is hotter than a pair of leather corduroys?) which premiered on Fader. PARTYNEXTDOOR got a remix of his song "R A I N" by Rochelle JOrdanBig K.R.I.T. continued to stream out new music, this time linking up with A$AP Ferg for "Lac Lac" which dropped on Rap Radar earlier and BADBADNOTGOOD offered up a new one in "Can't Leave The Night". JODY dropped a gem in their latest single, "M.I.A" and Freddie Carrera teamed up with Taylor Bennett for a new one in "20 More".

[Songs of the Day] 2/26/14 (Feat. Vic Mensa, DâM-FunK, Njomza)

Wednesday offered up a bountiful harvest of new releases from across the music spectrum and I have all of it here for you to sift through yourself. Starting things off is Vic Mensa who teamed up with rising local producer Smoko Ono for the club banger in "Feel That", which shows off Smoko's electro-infused hip-hop production. Tensnake & Jacques Lu Cont linked up with Jamie Lidell for the 80s-esque, synth heavy "Feel of Love" while DâM-FunK continued a productive start to 2014 with his newest single, "Love Is Above" and 19-year-old French producer, Madeon capitalized on his credits from Lady Gaga's ARTpop album by dropping his latest mix, "Cut The Kid". Rico Love followed up his major release "They Don't Know" by pondering what women want on "Bitches be Like", Hurt Everybody gives fans a new one in "Anibus" and another talented Chicago product, Njomza showed off her powerful vocals on "Sowing Season". [Songs of the Day] 2/24/14 (Feat. Young Thug, Tyga, Big Boi & More)

Monday brought about a bunch of new songs from all corners of the music world. We gathered all the best releases from the weekend and today. Meek Demeo's track "Paper Birds" featuring Kendrick Lamar got a remix from Galimatias that takes the song up a notch higher than it already was, Young Money teased their upcoming collaboration album with "Senile" by Tyga, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne. A Billion Young appropriately tapped Brian Fresco for his latest single, "Fresco" while Young Thug continued on a tear of singles, the most recent of which is "Ouch". Romeo Santos got with Nicki Minaj as well, tapping her for his hit "Animales" while Taylor Bennett got together with Loyale Soule to pay homage to a good friend in the soulful "Brother Man".  A$AP Ant became the latest of the A$AP Mob to emerge on the public sphere, this time with his single, "Zaytoven" while Koda kept things moving in his latest, "Invitation to Love".  Alex Wiley and Closed Sessions continued a powerful start to 2014 with another fresh new song in "Own Man" which pairs him with talented Chicagoan Mick Jenkins and Big Boi continued his "Mash-up Mondays" series with a collab with none other than Phantogram, which resulted in the ridiculously funky, "Objectum Shalamar". Also, Joell Ortiz reminds folks he still has "Bars". All this and more, below!

My Chemical Romance

[Songs on the Day] 2/18/14 (Feat. Chief Keef, A-Villa, My Chemical Romance & More)

Tuesday was a good day. Chicago finally got above freezing for the first time in two months and a horde of music hit the Internet for our listening pleasure. Starting things off is Ty Money who linked with none other than Chief Keef for the hard work anthem, "No Hobby" while Jose Guapo and Young Scooter discuss all things green in "Cash Talk". BOY/FRIEND had a rousing entrance onto my personal radar with her track, "Eve" featuring Va$htie and Train Company offered up a new tune in "Step To Me". Producer got in on it as well, as Los Angeles duo BC Kingdom stabilize the dance aesthetics with their latest track in "DWN4U/JEEPS" and Chicago button-pusher  A-Villa teamed up with Closed Session and the ever-talented Lili K for a rousing performance on "Smooth It Down" and Calez gave fans the first cut off his upcoming Ceito project with "Positive Energy". ShadowOnStars released a cover of Aaliyah's "Are You That Somebody" and both My Chemical Romance showed they still have it, dropping "Fake Your Death" to essentially announce the end of the band. Crystal Method also got a remix of their track "Over It" featuring Dia Frampton via the Bixel Boys. Check it all out below!
