The too busy for blogging series continues… To all the RH readers, sorry for the slow updates this week. I wish I could tell you exactly what we’ve been doing, but I honestly haven’t had time to even think about it. What does Drake say, oh yeah, “I just can’t remember it all,” yeah it is something like that…
The week started by bringing high end production equipment into the presidential suite at the Hotel Sax for the Red Bull Big Tune Finalists. It will end when CyHi Da Prynce performs for the first time ever in Chicago at our Digital Freshness Party at Beauty Bar 1444 W. Chicago… In between I coordinated technical riders for Black Milk’s show at Reggie’s, and the Big Tune Finals at The Metro. We got introduced to Cousin Bang by GLC, met Arab Muzik and Duke Da God, and saw 14KT, who I’ve known for close to 10 years win the Big Tune battle.
We picked up CyHi Da Prynce and his team, who are all very cool and down to earth people, and had many talks about Hip Hop, ATL lyricism, and Jay-Z’s “Decoded”. We recorded a Closed Session with CyHi Da Prynce at SoundScape that was unforgettable. His writing style is so unique, and his talent seems to be endless, “God Keeps Blessing Me, I Feel Like I Got Allergies.” I can’t wait for people hear this song, and we’re going back in tonight to do more because of the last minute recording he had to do for G.O.O.D. Friday. We brought him to WGCI for an interview w/DJ Moon Dawg, hit Dominick’s after 2AM, and as I write this now, Virgil is on his way to scoop me, to then scoop CyHi and start a whole new day…
We will be at LDRS 1354 from 4pm-6pm for a meet and greet. Come get a signed copy of Royal Flush, and meet a very special artist… At 10PM we will be at Beauty Bar for Digital Freshness. CyHi will be there along with my co-resident VIPJ of The Cool Kids. Together we are The Alphabet Boys… Get it? Hollywood Holt, Vic Lloyd will also join me on the decks, and tonight I am also welcoming my old-old friend DJ Metrognome of Indianapolis. Da Metrognome and I were a DJ crew in Bloomington, IN at IU, and we also ran SoundSlam.com together for a long time.. He is sick! YP will be on hand as well to give you a glimpse of our No Sleep project, and it’s Ruben’s birthday…
