Multi-talentest artist Toro Y Moi is gearing for a highlighting performance at Pitchfork Music Festival this weekend, as well as a long fall tour to promote his new EP Freaking Out, due September 13th on Carpark. Logging a Tyler The Creator remix, a split 7″ with Cloud Nothings, and a slew of international dates Chaz Budnick (Toro Y Moi) is having a fine year. Today he drops “Saturday Love” the first single off the EP. The song a Alexander O’Neal & Cherelle cover, showcases the 80’s post-disco vibe from an EP full of energy consisting of fluttering piano progressions, synthesized funk chords, a trademark of Moi’s style.
