Film seems to be getting racier in this day and age, and if a border-line porno is going to take the screen, it better be a damn good plot line for it to be in theaters. Along this route comes Lars von Trier with his what is being called “sexual romp of a film” Nymphomaniac, and following off of that statement, I guess I could feel a little bashful in my desire to see it. However, I like when a filmmaker doesn’t shy away from what may make a film become controversial or potentially far more interesting, and I think the bold stance Nymphomaniac is about to take as a film will undeniably be a cinematic feat in itself.

Nymphomaniac is about a girl recalling her many sexual experiences to a man who saved her from being beaten to death. Starring Charlotte Gainsbourg as the self-proclaimed nymphomaniac, the film features a lot of huge names such as Stellan Skarsgård, Uma Thurman, and Shia LeBeouf (unfortunately without a bag on his head). You can watch a clip of the upcoming film here.

The film is to be released on iTunes/OnDemand on March 6, 2014 and in theaters on March 21, 2014.
