We all know what took place on November 22, 1963 – President John F. Kennedy was assassinated as his motorcade drove through Dallas, TX. Parkland, written and directed by Peter Landesman, tells the story of JFK’s assassination from the within Parkland Hospital where the President was taken to following the shooting. Paul Giamatti (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Zac Efron (Me and Orson Welles), Jakie Earle Haley (Watchmen), Billy Bob Thornton (Sling Blade), Tom Welling (Smallville), Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River), and more star in the period piece commemorating the 50th anniversary of JFK’s death.
Parkland will make its debut at the Venice Film Festival later this month with a limited theatrical release to follow soon after.
