My apologies to Vic Mensa for putting an “h” in his name previously. The youngest member of the Brainiac crew takes us to “Space Camp”, which I always wanted to attend as a child. My parents pulled the Cubs on me with the repeating of, “maybe next summer.” Multiple attempts to win such a trip on Double Dare also were thwarted…This joint is produced by the Brainiac in house team of Nez & Rio, and has an 80’s dance feel. I let the Contraband King fill you in below.
After searching for Vic like he’s the hip-hop Carmen San Diego for a couple weeks I finally got a chance to catch up with him this past Tuesday. Vic’s been pretty busy with soccer, a band, and trying to put together some material for a future release. Amongst these things I stressed the urgency to get a song of his onto our site ASAP and Vic complies with ‘Space Camp’. Me personally, I laugh when I hear this kid rap.. not because it’s funny but because how easy he makes it all seem at the age of 16. I also laugh because thinking of where he could take this in a few years is scary for a lot of rappers… If you think you’re up and coming in the Chi, do yourself a favor and duck cuz Mensanatti is choppin’ heads off.

The version of the track I was sent couldn’t be converted to mp3 for some reason so it’s only available for download right now, I will have a streaming player up with it by the end of the night.
