When Freddie Gibbs released his debut EP, Str8 Killa, it was met with a thunderous round of applause. The EP was solid from front to back, and contained one of the most interesting collaborative efforts of 2010 in “Oil Money”, a song featuring Chip Tha Ripper, Bun B, Chuck Inglish, and Dan Auerbach alongside Freddie Gibbs. The Blended Babies produced track also contained a verse that never made the LP, one done by All Natural’s emcee ADaD. ADaD’s verse hit the cutting room floor for whatever reason, and instead of keeping it there, ADaD released a new video with his verse as well as some explanation.
“1ST…. I AINT MAD,” ADaD wrote on his Youtube post. “[T]his verse is an actual verse submitted for the oil money joint featuring chuck english, bun b, freddie gibbs, chip the ripper… etc. i was solicited by the producers to bang it out… i did it.. they said they loved it and when it came out… my verse had dissapeared… i dont give a shit cuz im confident in what i did… but i wont be silenced because i choose to speak with a social conscious and an artistic integrity… IM HERE TO GIVE THESE DUDES NIGHTMARES… whether i get on or not.. thank you.”
