Blu has always been an artist that does things on his own terms, the way he wants to do them. It’s nothing for Blu to release new music without much more than a tweet or tumblr post, and let the fans sort it out later. At the end of 2011, Blu dropped some new videos featuring blackberry-quality footage and new music from him and Exile with the news of more on the way. The videos were followed by the leak of Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them, a full Blu and Exile release, following up on their underground classic Below The Heavens. The music was too good for an internet only leak, and will be released properly on September 4th via Fat Beats and Dirty Science. The new release features all remastered records, plus new songs, features, and instrumentation. In short, the previous version is half-baked, and this one is fully cooked. The LP will also be preceded by the July 24th release of an EP, Maybe One Day, which you can order now.
