Avatar Darko is not your typical rapper. The Seattle native has embraced his Russian heritage and current surroundings to carve his own lane with a mix of trap and grunge sounds, which has helped him gain some notoriety in his hometown as one of the city’s fast-rising acts. His latest ‘tape, Soviet Goonion, served as an introduction of Darko’s talent to the rest of the country, and was pretty well received among listeners, although it flew under the radar for most people. “Never Cool Off” is a standout track from said project, so the emcee got together with his crew and headed over to the Central District of Seattle to shoot a dope video for the joint.
