theWHOevers, the Chicago hip hop duo of J. Arthur and DotKom, have been on a roll as of late. The pair dropped their latest project, Ridin’ Waves at the end of October and have been steadily dropping supporting visuals and interviews, last week appearing on local radio and J. Arthur was featured last week with the release of ShowYouSuck’s Dude Bro album which featured the part-time rapper/producer’s synth-filled beat behind Show’s gritty voice on the lead single, “80s Boobs”.

Yesterday, theWHOevers release the long-awaited video for their track burn. Shot by talented Chicago director Jeremy Frank (Lili K’s “Interlude”), it is a montage of the past few months of theWHOevers year, chronicling them working on Ridin’ Waves, coasting through Logan Square in the summer months, playing a set at Schuba’s and more, all brought together with artistically appealing shots of local dancer Lauren McCarthy who adds a mystique of silent beauty to the track, accentuating the title with appropriate cigarette use. Check out the full video for theWHOevers song “Burn” here below and be sure to make it out to Lincoln Hall in Chicago this weekend to celebrate the release of Ridin’ Waves.
