Hailing from the music hot spot of Austin, Texas is White Denim. “Street Joy” comes off of their fourth studio album D, which was released on Downtown Records this May. D is the first album to feature their new four person line-up, guitarist Austin Jenkins was added to the band in late 2010 as the second guitar. White Denim draws influences from multiple genres, but “Street Joy” sounds like spacey psychedelic rock, similar to Radiohead or Pink Floyd. To compliment the smooth tunes, the video is set at a senior prom; blending new, but aged, footage of the band’s performance and old clips of various proms, the visuals fit nicely with the song’s atmospheric vibes. Hit the jump to listen to the track and pick up White Denim’s D out now.
