Gravity topped the box office again with $31m over the weekend, making a cumulative $170m since its release. In second is the Tom Hanks-led Captain Phillips with $17.3m, and the Chloe Grace Moretz-led Carrie remake rounding out the Top 3 with an even $17m. The weekend’s other new releases, Escape Plan and The Fifth Estate, made $9.8m and $1.7m, respectively.

The independent Enough Said got a surprising boost at the box office, netting $1.8m and the 7th spot in the process. While it’s only being played in 757 theaters, it’s made $10.8m, averaging out to about $2,300 per theater. Machete Kills dropped out of the Top 12 in only its second weekend in theaters, which doesn’t bode very well for the grindhouse film. It wasn’t going to be a major money maker, but the fact that it hasn’t caught on for many audiences is shocking, to say the least.
