With temperatures plunging across the country, it’s only fitting that Disney’s latest animated film, Frozen, topped the box office this weekend. With a return of $20.7m, five weeks after its theatrical release. As I’ve said before, the power of the animated family film always triumphs at the box office. In second is the Paranormal Activity spin-off, The Marked Ones, with $18.2m in its first weekend. Desolation of Smaug rounds out the Top 3 with a $16.2m weekend.
