The beginning of the month means Netflix adds a plethora of amazing films and TV shows to their Instant Video library. No matter your tastes or interests, there’s bound to be something you’ll enjoy in this substantial update. Personally, I can’t wait to revisit the Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman-led Sherlock, a modern re-telling of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories. Francis Ford Coppola’s intense Vietnam War-set epic, Apocalypse Now, returns to the service alongside the Director’s Cut of the film, Apocalypse Now Redux. Jim Jarmusch’s collection of vignettes, Coffee and Cigarettes, makes an appearance (side note: one of my favorite lines in a film, “You’re Bill ‘Groundhog Day, Ghostbustin’ ass’ Murray,” comes from Coffee and Cigarettes). Korean director Park Chan-wook’s Vengeance Trilogy, consisting of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, also return to the service. The sorely underrated Adam Sandler drama Reign Over Me is another highlight.
