Exit Through The Gift Shop

I posted the trailer for Bansky’s new film, “Exit Through The Gift Shop”, on Monday.  Here’s your chance to win a pair of tickets to the San Francisco premiere of the film from our friends at Upper Playground.  I wish I live in SF to go to this, or they link up with us to do a Chicago version (wink, wink)… Anyway, if you do live out in the Bay, see the details below.

The San Francisco premiere of Exit Through the Gift Shop, the debut film by renowned artist Banksy, and the hottest ticket at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, will be presented in San Francisco exclusively by Upper Playground on April 14th at 7:30PM at the Victoria Theatre. Immediately following the screening there will be an after party occurring at SOM. Bar which is located just a couple doors down from the theatre. The premiere is invitation only, but, Upper Playground has opened up a contest to win invitations to the premiere. The guidelines are:

The first 50 people to submit a photo of them standing next to a cop with a handmade sign that has the movie title (Exit Through the Gift Shop) on it wins:
*$100 Gift Card to Upper Playground
*One ticket to the San Francisco Premiere of “Exit Through the Gift Shop”

Submit photos via Upper Playground’s Twitter or Facebook pages.  One submission per person, so make it count. Don’t bother with your photoshops we will be checking for authenticity… Plain-clothes police officers do not count.  Submissions must be in by the end of the day on Tuesday, April 13th.

About ‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’:

Banksy is a graffiti artist whose global reputation and work can be seen on walls from post—hurricane New Orleans to the separation barrier on the Palestinian West Bank. Fiercely guarding his anonymity to avoid prosecution, Banksy has so far resisted all attempts to be captured on film. Exit Through the Gift Shop tells the incredible true story of how an eccentric French shop keeper turned documentary maker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner – with spectacular results. The film contains exclusive footage of Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Invader,s and many of the world’s most infamous graffiti artists at work, on walls and in interview. As Banksy describes it, “It’s basically the story of how one man set out to film the un—filmable. And failed.”
