Wiz Khalifa

It was a busy week for Pittsburgh’s Wiz Khalifa.  He announced the release of his major label debut, Rolling Papers, which will impact on 3.29.  He also released a music video for “On My Level” an album cut featuring West Coast legend Too $hort.  In addition, a couple pieces of the LP hit the web, including “On My Level” as well as Rolling Papers second single, “Roll Up”.  Whereas “Black and Yellow” is a certified banger, “Roll Up” is neither as loud, nor as drenched in the weed talk that is a signature of Khalifa’s sound.  In what is a blatant messing with your head type of move, Khalifa uses “Roll Up” in the sense of being where ever he needs to be in his special someone’s time of need.  It’s a mellow track, that will surely see its share of radio play, but may not catch on as much with Wiz’s core audience… For those cats we get “On My Level”, giving Taylor Gangsters everything they need and want, as well as reaching the OG realm with a solid appearance from Too $hort.  And, 18 year-olds all over are going, “I like this new Too $hort guy…” So everyone is a winner… Check out the tracks below.
