Miami’s Cris Cab hit the scene in a big way with a standout cover of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow”. Cab follows up the Wiz Khalifa homage with this original, “My Life”. The song is a reggae and world music tinged jam, which Cab executes well. Embracing his youth, Cab’s lyrics are true to what you’d expect a 17 year-old to be going through and carries an overall theme of “chill out, mom.” She’s got good reason to, as in Cab’s case, the kids are alright.
