Air Jordan

Long time sneaker-head Dave White has always believed that the sneaker was more than a simple piece of footwear. It is the reflection of an individual’s style, taste, and personality. The Liverpool-base painter has been using sneakers as canvases since 2002, but didn’t start working with Jordan until 2008 when Dave Frank the Jordan Brand Art Director called him up about a collaboration. Going with the classic Jordan I model, Dave White also decided to stay within Jordan’s classic black, white, grey, and red color schemes. He designed 4 different models, the one that was finally chosen sports gold tips, Red Stripes, and a paint splatter that Mr. White is known for, all on top of premium white leather. 23 pairs were made and will be up for auction during the upcoming NBA all-star week. All the shoes will come in custom packaging and the proceeds will go to the charity WINGS for the Future and Los Angeles’ Inglewood High School.
