Kanye West Mario Game "Lil Ye Land"

The demo version of "Lil Ye Land", a 2D Mario like game starring Kanye West has been released this week. The 'lil pixelated rapper travels through a dark dungeon fighting ghosts trying to escape. As funny as this game sounds, the artwork posted on the "Lil Ye" Instagram account is very well done. The amount of creativity Ye fans have with incorporating their favorite rapper into a video game is impressive. You can even hear the melody of "Amazing" playing in the background of the trailer video.

Play the game here.

Juice WRLD Releases Project After Signing $3 Million Deal.

With an explosion of streams and video plays over the past few months, the Illinois native, from the suburb, Calumet Park, finds major success with a joint venture deal involving Interscope valued at over $3 million.

Juice WRLD's project, Goodbye & Good Riddance, was released yesterday, May 23rd. This 15 track project contains no features. Well known hits such as, Lucid Dreams and All Girls Are the Same are placed on this record, after achieving millions of plays on streaming services.

"Too busy making money, to worry 'bout making memories" highlights the unapologetic tone Juice WRLD delivers on the outro of the breakup based record.

Beastie Boys Book Gets Release, Available For Pre-Order

Here's something to get excited about if you are a fan of the Beastie Boys. Back in 2013, Mike D and Ad-Rock officially signed on for a memoir. Notorious for spending long hours in the studio discussing and then ordering take-out, the Beastie Boys took their time in finishing the book. Alas, the memoir now has an official title, release date, and is available for pre-order.   Beastie Boys Book will hit shelves October 30th, and tell the story of the band's formation as well as numerous transformations over their 20+ year career. The book also includes rare photos, a graphic novel, map of the Beastie's New York, playlist accoutrements, and more.

"A panoramic experience that tells the story of Beastie Boys, a book as unique as the band itself—by band members AD-ROCK and Mike D, with contributions from Amy Poehler, Colson Whitehead, Spike Jonze, Wes Anderson, Luc Sante, and more."

And just for fun, here's the 1998 "Beastieography", which you can see it's all its glory. The video is completed with 1998's MTV commercials as well - truly like stepping into a time machine.

React Resents and Mamby On The Beach have teamed up for a  winter campaign fundraiser, the “Mamby Plunge”.

The campaign has pledged to give all proceeds from Mamby Plunge to the nonprofit origination Bright Star Community Outreach. Staff members have also pleaded to take a plunge into Lake Michigan, if $10,000 or more is donated. The deadline for the $10,000 goal is by Saturday, March 11.

DeAndre Hopkins Yeezy Cleats

NFL Players Banned From Wearing Yeezy Cleats

Just a week after Adidas introduced the Yeezy Boost cleat, they have been banned from the NFL. The league announced that the cleats violated their dress policy, citing a rule that cleats must be "one dominant base color". They then sent DeAndre Hopkins a $6,000 fine for wearing a pair in the Texans week 1 win over the Bears. This controversy has drawn plenty of comparison to the infamous "banned" black and red Jordan 1s.

This couldn't be better PR for Kanye West, especially after DeAndre Hopkins announced he would wear the Yeezy cleats again "if Kanye agrees to pay the fine". For West, $6,000 is a steal for this kind of exposure compared to traditional advertising. Adrian Peterson and Von Miller also received their own pairs of Yeezy cleats which they shared on twitter, but opted not to wear them during their games. Kanye could also just release them in a solid color, making them perfectly legal. Baseball will be the next sport to get Yeezy cleats, the Pittsburgh Pirates Andrew McCutchen has already expressed his desire for a pair.

Officially released on September 15th, the Yeezy "Turtle Dove" 350 cleats retail for $250, and sold out immediately.

Laverne Cox Becomes 1st Transgender Actress to…

Laverne Cox is set to make history with her new TV role. The “Orange Is The New Black” actress will play a series-regular in the upcoming CBS legal drama Doubt, making her the first transgender actress to portray a transgender main character in a broadcast television series.

The pilot episode was recently given the green light, and Cox took Instagram to express her excitement. “We are picked up for series. So grateful and so happy. Congrats to the entire #Doubt family. Can’t wait to see you all again. #cbs #PickedUp #Gratitude #manifested”, she posted. Although the series is still filming with no release date just yet, Cox’s new role looks very promising.

In the meantime, the longtime activist continues to use her influence to overturn HB2, the so-called “North Carolina bathroom law.“Those bills are about making us not exist,” Cox said at the 4th annual Forbes Women’s Summit this week. “For decades [we’ve] been told that we don’t exist … But I’m a testament that trans people do exist. There are trans people all over this country that exist", she continued.

Fortunately for Cox, she’s got some big name allies in her corner. The backlash over the “bathroom law” was almost immediate. Companies like PayPal and Deutsche Bank canceled business expansion in the southern state. Musicians like Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas have also cancelled North Carolina tour stops. If you ask us, together, they may very well get the response they desire.

Amber Rose

Amber Rose's legal battle over her name

Amber Rose has done a lot over the past two years, transitioning from a famous hip-hop girlfriend and wife to an independent superstar mogul. But despite all of the work she has done, her name may be in jeopardy as reports have revealed that she’s facing a legal battle over the right to trademark the name "Amber Rose".

According to media reports, Rose filed a series legal documents in an attempt to trademark her name,  so that she can be the sole person profiting from it. However, up-and-coming country singer Amber Rose Kelly has reportedly also filed trademark documents for the name and wants sole rights to it as well. Now, the two women are in a legal war over the rights.

The report claims that Kelly is intent on proving to the Trademark Office that she was famous years before Amber because she was already an award-nominated former child actor, singer, songwriter, recording artist, model and photographer.

Kelly is claiming that Rose only recently became popular and that her success boils down to nothing more than being a former stripper who enjoys being half-naked in public.

Kelly also claims that she was easily searchable on Google long before 2009, when Amber first rose to fame as the then-girlfriend of Kanye West.

However, Rose disagrees, claiming that she’s the only famous Amber Rose and that most people know nothing of a country singer named Amber Rose Kelly. She also argues that Amber Rose is her real name and that Kelly is merely attempting to piggyback on her fame to a financial windfall.

We have to be honest and admit that we hadn’t heard of Kelly until these reports came out, so we’d be shocked to see Amber Rose's legal battle over her name result in her losing. As always, we’ll just have to wait and see how this plays out.
