Kreayshawn

So, here’s the deal. I haven’t followed any news beyond Twitter timelines over the weekend after we did two shows with Questlove in two states over two days.  There’s a few things we missed, and I wrapped them up in this little package.  Nuff said.

Kreayshawn

It’s kind of been a tough 24 hours for Kreayshawn. First Rick Ross confronts her at the VMA’s. Well, sort of confronts her. You can see from the video below that he hung out close to her while members of her team talked s**t to her manager, who subsequently gets the “I’m the bad guy?” treatment from MTV’s staff who issued a “I’m not asking you, I’m telling you” order for him to calm down… After that, someone hacked her twitter and did the usual posting of anti-semetic statements and nude pics.  Kreayshawn said:

“My twitter got hacked today by some anti-hollywood extremists. They sent out wack ass tweets and promoted their odd message of anti-jew stuff and deleted my twitter.. Oh and they leaked out private photos of me while I was underage. Real nice guys! Spreading child-prono thats cute. VMA’s was insane on top of that. Can I sh*t man?”

No I.D.

No I.D. Named Executive VP At Def Jam

No I.D. has been spotting, supporting, and developing talent for years.  While he first mentored Common and Kanye West from his house on Chicago’s Southside, his new digs are a bit more formal.  The producer landed a new job as Executive VP at Def Jam, and is excited about his new role and continuing Def Jam’s rich musical legacy.

“I’m going to keep on doing what I’m doing and take it to another level, he told Billboard.Biz.  “Def Jam is a cultural staple…  It’s not just a label, it’s part of the culture that I came up in and that I’ve been involved with for 20 years. It’s very important that the next generation of executives grab it by the horns and keep it on track as it grows.”

Here’s to one of the greatest.  I’m not quite sure what an Executive VP at Def Jam does, but I’m sure he’ll do it well.

Tyler, The Creator

Tyler, The Creator made it no secret that he coveted a Moon Man, taking to Twitter several times to emphasize how much he cared about the award, and the various things he may do if he loses. It’s all celebration in the Odd Future camp today, as Tyler won for “Best New Artist”.  Wolf Gang all day…  And if you haven’t heard by now, Beyonce revealed at the VMA’s that she is pregnant with her first child.  Congrats to her and Jay-Z, as well as these other winners.
