[Songs of the Day] 2/6/14 (Feat. Pharrell, Future, Dillon Francis & More)
Songs of the day is back again with the latest singles to hit the Internet. We get some Midwest flavor with Murph Watkins' "Loose Women n' Booze" and Psalm One's teaser to her upcoming album Hug Life, "So Silly" which features trap drum wunderkind Young Josh of Flosstradamus on production. Some heavy hitters dropped collaboration tracks, as well. T.I. teamed up with Iggy Azalea, Young Dro, and Travi$ Scott, while Future teamed up with Pharrell, Pusha T and Casino on their new track "Move That Dope". Mac Miller put on his alternative indie hat for a cover of Bright Eyes' "Lua", which comes off as questionable at best, Lily Allen offers up her latest in "L8 CMMR" and Dillon Francis and DJ Snake come together for the thumping "Get Low".
Track of the Day: Vic Mensa: "Magic" (Smoko Ono Remix) - Chicago producer Smoko Ono puts a creative new spin on Vic Mensa's "Magic" off his recent Innanetape, allowing it a distinctly new, dance-worthy flavor that takes the track into a different realm while staying grounded in the original track.

[Songs Of The Day] 1/28/14 (Feat. CHVRCHES, Rittz, Inventions, Aaliyah and more)
As the majority of the country turned to an icicle, the hits kept coming and we got the latest song releases compiled in one spot here for today's songs of the day.
Leading things off today is Detroit native and Chicago resident Eryn Allen Kane, who continued to show off the sinewy vocals displayed in her last single "Hollow" as she jumps on a track with UK dance artist Moody Good for the thumping track, "Music Box". Inventions teamed up with an eclectic group of musicians in Explosions in the Sky and Eluvium Members to create a sonically gratifying song in "Entity" while one of our RH First Look artists from 2013, Jay Dot Rain, discusses the intricacies of soul food on his latest offering, "Grits N' Gravy". Rittz, Jackie Chain, Scotty ATL, and RaRa got the south on today with a rousing remix of "Pimpin Man" and CHVRCHES did some tinkering of their own, covering "Bela Lugosi’s Dead" by Bauhaus. Aside from that, Chicago's own Murph Watkins continued to prove he's in line to pop from Chicago with "All Is Fair" and Banks brings us his latest in "Brain".
Rittz, Jackie Chain, Scotty ATL, and RaRa "Pimpin' Mane" (Remix)
CHVRCHES "Bela Lugosi’s Dead" (Bauhaus Cover)
Mr. Carmack "Stoke It, Baby" (Aaliyah "Rock The Boat" Mix)
BANKS "BRAIN"
Murph Watkins "All Is Fair"
Jay Dot Rain "Grits N' Gravy"
Murph Watkins: "Beautiful"
In his latest track, Chicago's Murph Watkins laces over the ins and outs of explaining one's self to another you find too striking to talk to, winding a story for the listener that is a journey from first meeting and infatuation to the loss of a love. Watkins holds down his two-verse track over a soulfully-sampled beat from talented fellow Chicagoans, THEMpeople, and gets a hand on the striking vocals from Loona Dae. Check out the latest from Murph here below.
[Video] Murph Watkins: "I Can't Tell" (feat. Wheatie)
Murph Watkins delivers the official video for "I Can't Tell", his most recent collaboration with fellow emcee Wheatie off the former's Summer release Loose Women N Booze. Murph also linked up with Nick Astro and conceptualized a cool visual treatment that serves as a follow-up to his previous video "Call Em Freaks", shot by Astro himself. Check it out below.

The tape is due out sometime in mid-November so listeners will have to settle for marinating on this easy listen from Astro and Watkins, two of the most recognizable voices in the Chicago scene.
Murph Watkins: "Death Or Dishonor"
On some Kung-Fu film type-ish, Murph Watkins gives us two options, "Death Or Dishonor", in his latest single, which one will you choose? Produced by Dee Lilly, this new leak proves Murph's versatility behind the mic and it's a nice follow-up to his Loose Women & Booze LP. The Chicago emcee has a lot of mainstream appeal, but also mixes it with some Midwest swagger, he's definitely a dude to watch in 2013.
Murph Watkins: "Is It Lust" (feat. Midiori & Fonz-E Mak) (Prod. ThemPeople)
Since we premiered The Plague (Murph Watkins' collaborative EP with producer The Antydote) back in November to great response by fans and new listeners, Murph has been working on his upcoming solo project Loose Women N' Booze almost exclusively. This Wednesday we will finally get to download the 'tape in its entirety, but as as extra push, the emcee unleashed one more single featuring Midiori & Fonz-E Mak entitled, "Is It Lust". Listen to the THEMpeople-produced joint below.
