Films mean a lot to me because of how much imagination and creativity goes into them. The more creative and imaginative, the higher likelihood I’ll be into it. I Declare War straddles the line between imagination and reality, automatically hooking me in from the start of the trailer. I’m not alone, either, as the film won the Audience Award at last year’s Fantastic Fest. I Declare War is about a game of capture the flag among a group of  12-year-olds in a neighborhood forest, using their imaginations to shape their twigs, rocks, and anything else they can get their hands on as weapons. However, as the game goes on, their minds begin to shape the war into a scarily real situation.

The film will be available on VOD July 26th, with a limited theatrical release on August 30th. You can also view the full poster for I Declare War below.
