With Dally Auston’s The Wood mixtape getting some consistent burn on my playlist this past few days, I’m glad the Save Money emcee decided to unleash the brand new video for “99 Cent”. The visual is incredibly dope due to its beautiful simplicity, clean aesthetics and clever animations (which were done by OJ Hays, who also worked on Chance The Rapper’s “Good Ass Intro“). Director Andrew Straw does an exceptional job keeping the smooth essence of the song with great shots and transitions, while Dally hits up a corner store, plays some basketball and spits from a roof. just an average day for a young kid out in the city.
