[RH Premiere] Mass Hysteria: "Hands Up High" feat Rhymefest
"I'll shoot at you, then go to Coachella, and shoot at your hologram."
Mass Hysteria is one the best Hip Hop groups from Chicago from a musical standpoint. Since the early 2000's, I feel like many Hip Hop heads have waited eagerly for that proper Mass Hysteria LP. Will we ever see it still remans a bit up in the air, but today I got a cut that is supposedly the LP's first single, with the full project dropping in the spring. "Hands Up High" is a true Chi-city banger, with an assist from Rhymefest. Listen to the record and download it below. Also, peep Mass Hysteria on Friday opening up Prodigy and Alchemist with Rude One at The Shrine.
Chandler London x Netherfriends x Mig Mora: "Numero Uno"
Here's a new joint from three of my favorite local artists, Chandler London, Netherfriends and Mig Mora. The record is "Numero Uno", a clever -and at times cynical- look at what it means to be number one. This one arrives just in time for Valentine's Day. Peep it below.
[Video] 48 Hours With Action Bronson
One benefit of being signed to Vice is having access to their really dope video team. After all, Vice is a company that made a name for itself hunting down the last living Nazi's in the jungles of Argentina, taking us to a town in Columbia where men lose their virginity to donkeys, and of course, the pointy boot scene. Here though, they follow Action Bronson for 48 hours in London, where he visits Tim Westwood, performs a few shows, and craves Oxtail. Peep it below.

Angel Davanport: "Premier" (prod. by Na$im Williams)
I posted an Angel Davanport record a little while ago, and thought she was a promising artist. Today I have another new joint from Angel, this one a little bit less intricate than her previous effort, "SuperWoman". "Premier" functions as a freestyle, as Angel takes no bars off over production from Na$im Williams. Listen and download it below.
[Free Album] ALO: Animal Instinct
Animal Instinct is the new solo album from Chicago Hip Hop veteran, ALO. The emcee, DJ, and producer is someone I've known for a long time, and an early person to embrace my own djing and Hip Hop endeavors. The Hyde Park native produced the entire project as well, grabbing guest features from other vets such as Ang 13, Mike Trese of Mass Hysteria, Qwazaar of Typical Cats, and more. You can stream and download the full LP below. It's a nice listen throughout, and great if you're looking for some good Chicago Hip Hop.
[Video] In The Studio With Chance The Rapper and BJ The Chicago Kid
BJ The Chicago Kid was in from LA over the weekend and connected with Chance The Rapper to do a little work on Chance's forthcoming Acid Rap. Check out some of the behind the scenes footage from their recording session. Shot and chopped by Davy Greenberg. Acid Rap dropping soon.
[Free EP] J. Cole: Truly Yours
J. Cole is calling his new album, Born Sinner, his best work yet. And he is excited to share. Today he brings us Truly Yours, a 5-song EP of all new music that in one way or another, just doesn't fit into his new album. That doesn't mean they are lacking for any quality as "Can I Holla At Ya" sets the mood right for the reflective music that fans know and love from Cole. Peep his letter to the fans and the new project below.
It’s time.
I appreciate you giving me the time I needed to grow, experiment, and find the direction for my 2nd album.. And I have.
Along the way I’ve recorded at least 4 albums worth of material, lots of it being unfinished demo versions waiting to be polished up, some of them are great songs and important stories that just won’t make the album (either they don’t fit Sonically, don’t fit Theme, or there’s just not enough space) .
Tonight, I want to give you a few of these songs because you deserve them. It’s hard as fuck for me to keep all this music from you for so long, so I know it’s been hard for you to wait. Thank you for your patience. Vibe out to these songs in their raw form, no polish.. just a lot of my soul..
The wait is over.
Truly Yours,
Born Sinner
PS- 1st single coming this week. The album is hands down my best work yet. Can’t wait to share.
Arjaye Jeter: "Home Again" feat St. Millie
"We the LDRS and the Jugrnauts."
Happy 22nd birthday to Arjaye Jeter. He celebrates the occasion with the release "Home Again" featuring St. Millie. Arjaye is on the beat as well, which struts and rolls along in the best way possible. Jeter will be dropping a full project next week, Liveuminati, which he also self-produced. Both emcees shine on this one, with Millie getting better and better with each verse. Peep this new one below.
