[Photography] IG Weekly: Hueman_

It seems like everybody is on their phone scrolling through photos deciding which ones to post on Instagram. It’s so easy to do, whether you’re a photographer or not; just point, shoot, choose a filter, then post whatever you created. From the funny duck face selfies to breathtaking landscapes to gritty city streets, some use it as visual journal giving glimpses of their lives. Others have taken it to another level creating works of art. All of us at Ruby Hornet are fans of the social media platform and decided to do a weekly series of highlighting people whose Instagrams we feel are cool. Let us know in the comments section if you’d like to be featured, or let us know about some other cool Instagrams. Be sure to follow the Ruby Hornet Instagram, too.

Sofia Vergara's BTS Photos By Terry Richardson

This week, we posted some photos of A$AP Rocky while he was visiting Terry Richardson's studio and it looks like Terry is at it again. This time, the Colombian model/actress Sofia Vergara happened to stop and take some BTS photos with him. The photos came about because the two got together recently to shoot a spread for Harper's Bazaar which features Sofia on the cover. Terry did what he does best and captured the Modern Family beauty in black and white photos. Sofia looks great as usual and makes it seem so effortless. Be sure to check out the rest of the photos below.

Catching Waves With Lucia Griggi

Being at the beach and catching waves is just the typical day at the office for photographer Lucia Griggi. I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day, let alone make a living from it, but that's what Lucia does, because she has worked to become a well-respected professional surf photographer. She has become the go-to photographer for the industry and has traveled to all of the surfer hot spots, capturing the best surfers in the world. It's hard to believe that "the first time she got on a surfboard was at the age of 21 in the icy waters of the British Isles." Life is not a beach all the time, and what she does is very hard as she has to deal with dangerous waves and even sharks just to get one shot. Being a surf photographer must be one hell of career, and Lucia has great skill in capturing awesome shots in the water. Check out some more of her shots below, and for more about Lucia visit Time here.

Beyonce For Flaunt Magazine

If you ever wondered what Beyonce would look like covered in nothing but glitter, paint, and body oil, here's your chance. The Queen B recently graced the pages of Flaunt Magazine in nothing but her birthday suit with her only accessories being African bangles and necklaces. Photographer Tony Duran was in charge of shooting Beyonce, and together they created some great portraits full of color. These photos just pop and definitely easy on the eye, so check out the rest of the photos from the shoot below.

Emily Ratajkowski by Olivia Malone

Model Emily Ratajkowski is hard at work, and every day it seems like we find a new photo shoot spread of her for a magazine... Not that we're complaining about that over here at Ruby Hornet, so we thought we'd share Emily's latest, an MQ shoot by Oliva Malone. For this set, we get to see the kick-ass side of Emily with various shots of her in a boxing gym that would make Rocky proud. Check out the photos below for more shots from the shoot and check out our previous post of Emily's Galore Magazine spread (NSFW) here.

A$AP Rocky Visits Terry Richardson's Studio

It's seems like Terry Richardson just about shoots everyone we can think of imaginable. The photographer has shot the likes of Kate Upton, James Franco, Robin Thicke, and even Selena Gomez... the list goes on and on, so let's just say that he's a pretty popular dude judging by the people that come to visit his studio. His most recent visitor was A$AP Rocky, and he captured the rapper in a variety of iconic poses that Terry is known for. Check out some of the photos from the shoot below and for the whole set visit Richardson's tumblr here.

When Buddhists Go Bad

When you hear the word Buddhist or think of Buddhism, it typically brings up thoughts of peace and tranquility. For me, I picture images of monks with shaven heads and long wavy robes meditating in temples; I picture a person who is at total peace with themselves and their environment, someone who would do no harm to anybody or anything, not even a fly. But over the past year in parts of Asia, a new type of radical Buddhist has formed that has lead to a huge conflict between Buddhists and Muslims in Burma, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. Many Muslims are being attacked and killed by Buddhist mobs by the encouragement of one man, Wirathu, who has taken the title of Burmese Bin Laden. He has taken to the streets to preach his views to anybody who will listen, preaching against Islam. In Thailand, Buddhist monks are being protected by soldiers due to the conflict and retreating to their temples. With the violence continuing to mount, time will only tell what will happen between the two groups. Check out the photos below and for more information and photos check out Time here.
