Check Out Sigma's DP2 Quattro Camera

Sigma, the Japanese company that has been offering quality photography products for years, has recently unveiled its newest camera, the Sigma DP2 Quattro. Billed as the next generation of compact cameras, the DP2 Quattro sports a rather unique minimalistic design that looks good and can fit in your pocket. With its design also comes some new features inside, such as a new sensor, the Foveon X3, that captures light vertically, unlike other sensors that capture light horizontally. With the new three layer sensor, Sigma states there will be "a 30% increase in resolution to the previous Foveon sensor," resulting in 20MP images with great detail. The camera will be accompanied with a 30mm f/2.8 lens when it releases but there is no word on when it will hit the market. [IG Weekly] awnoom

Photos by @awnoom

Everybody is on their phone. Thousands of people everyday wear out their thumbs scrolling through photos, deciding which ones to post on Instagram. It’s so easy to do whether you’re a photographer or not; just point, shoot, choose a filter and post whatever you created. From funny duck face selfies, to breathtaking landscapes, to gritty city streets. Some use it as visual journal giving glimpses of their lives, while others have taken it to another level by creating works of art. All of us at Ruby Hornet are fans of the social media platform and decided to do a weekly series highlighting people whose Instagrams stand above the rest. Let us know in the comments section if you’d like to be featured, or let us know about some other cool Instagrams. Be sure to follow Ruby Hornet Instagram, too.

This week’s featured Instagram comes from @awnoom. Photographers are not the only ones that use Instagram, as there are many graphic designers that are active users on the platform. That being said, graphic designers are some of my favorite accounts to follow as they mix in photography with their design skill to make some pretty cool creations. You’ll get a range of photos that make for an interesting gallery, so take a look at a sample of awnoom's photos, and hit the follow button for some great imagery.

Happy Birthday To The Legendary Bob Marley

If Bob Marley would have been alive today, he would be celebrating his 69th birthday. Even though he's not here, many of us are celebrating his music and his spirit not only today, but everyday. His music is timeless and still relevant to this day and will continue to be because his songs were about people, freedom, and love. Here's a man that wanted to see change in the world and used his talent of music to get that message across. It's really not hard to relate to at least one Bob Marley song, and that is why he has so many fans from all walks of life. As he once said, "One good thing about music: when it hits you, you feel no pain." With this, I say, "Happy Birthday, Bob and know that the sun is still shining."

One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.

Channel Your Inner DJ With Pacemaker for iPad

In this world of technology we live in, many have ditched the turntables and have gone digital using computers and even iPads to DJ at parties. Technology has made it easier then ever to accomplish certain tasks and has taken many things out of the equation, making it easy for anyone to mix their favorite songs. There are a huge amount of DJ apps available on the market, but the new Pacemaker app offers something different that others don't. When DJing through an iPad, the person is limited to the amount of memory they possess, so it means always having to decide which songs to keep or ditch. The Pacemaker is the only DJ app that integrates your music collection with Spotify, giving you access to millions of songs in its catalog. It also offers your typical features like looping, blending, and with a variety of effects like reverb, echo, and more. If you're in the market for a new DJ app, the new Pacemaker might be the way to go.
