[Artwork] Chief Keef: Finally Rich
Chief Keef's next project will be his DJ Victoriouz and DJ Holiday hosted Finally Rich. The two biggest features on the tape are expected to be Waka Flocka Flame and Young Jeezy, but the tracklist is not yet available so other names might show up. Either way it will be arriving before long as Interscope looks to capitalize on its newly minted goldmine. The artwork is below, and if I'm not mistaken the photo was shot by Chicago photographer and swag artist Marc Moran.

[Video] Lil Reese: "Savage" (prod. Young Chop)
It seems as though the Voodoo religion, Skull Island from King Kong and Young Chop's ominous and grinding production are the driving influences behind Lil Reese's video for "Savage". Coming from the Chicago MC it's an interesting mix, but one that works well with the song. The track is off of the DJ Drama and Don Cannon hosted mixtape Don't Like, which dropped on the 4th and serves as his debut on Def Jam. "Savage" is a banger and as with all the GBE family, he keeps it 3Hunna the whole way through.
50 Cent: "Can I Speak To You" featuring ScHoolboy Q

It's been a while since 50 Cent was on featured on RubyHornet. Sh*t, it's been a long time since anyone really cared what 50 was doing. But today his Boy Q feature got me interested. On the tails of releasing his new tape 5: Murder By Numbers he got the Top Dawg to help him on the remix. The project was originally slated to be an album, but 50 switched it up and released it earlier today; it's drop comes as he preps for his final album with Interscope, Street King Immortal.
It's known that Q was influenced heavily by 50, he breaks down his style and influences on A$AP Rocky's "Brand New Guy", rapping "Biggie and Nas put they ass in a blender, sprinkle some 50 and came out this nigga." Hopefully 50 continues to enlist the new generation of MCs to help rejuvenate his style and perhaps provide some inspiration for his ailing career.

Kami de Chukwu & Joey Purps: "STILL(A)LIVE" (prod. GregKTD & Thelonius Martin)

In honor of Greg's birthday (Kids These Day's drummer) the Savemoney team has assembled to bang out an illy track titled "STILL(A)LIVE". GregKTD and Thelonius Martin handled the production, using the one-two punch of a live drummer and young phenom like production chops to build a beat that bangs in the background as Kami de Chukwu and Joey Purps trade lyrical jabs. There's no chorus here, just 3 minutes of sheer hip hop glory. Check the track out below and the links to other recent Savemoney releases.

[Mixtape] Preston San: Community Service EP (prod. Mojek)

After dropping "Serve You Up" and "Zan With That Lean Part 3", Savemoney's Preston San has dropped his Community Service EP, produced by Mojek. The project serves as the debut for both artists, as the Savemoney collective introduces more members into the Chicago hip hop scene. Check out the Pharcyde "Drop" inspired and Young Wonder shot promo video as well, a dope addition to an ill project.
Look for more from Savemoney as well as a #FirstLook from San in the future.
[RH Premiere] Bago: "Remember" (prod. Alexander Spit)

I heard Bago's haunting voice for the first time when I was doing research for my First Look interview with Alexander Spit. She had just dropped her record "Dr. Lock", produced by Spit, and I was interested in the connection between the two. I brought it up in the interview and Alex explained that the singer/song writer had been referred to him by a good friend, but "had never recorded anything before, she had just been singing her whole life, but had never written a song, never recorded anything just cause she'd never had the opportunity to." Like so many working relationships in the music industry, theirs started by chance.
Now flash to the current; after knowing and working with each other for a few years, the two have a Sunday's Best in the pipline. The project is entirely produced by Spit and is set for an August 21st release date. "Remember" is the first official single off of the album, brought to you exclusively by RH. Covering The Shangri-Las 1964 hit "Remember (Walking In The Sand)", Bago's soulful chords breathe a different life into the song as well as pay homage to the classic hit. Taking the Queens bred Shangri-Las' hit to the West Coast, she gives us a strong performance over Spit's re-envisioned take on the production.
Listen below and tell your friends, because Bago's name will be in more places that you can count by the end of the year. Also keep Alexander Spit on your radar, who will be dropping A Breathtaking Trip EP in the coming months, the follow-up to his These Long Strange Nights. Look for more content from RH on Bago in the near future and make sure to grab Sunday's Best on August 21st.
[Video] Kids These Days: "Flashing Lights"

Kids These Days dropped "Flashing Lights" a week ago as their debut single from Traphouse Rock and have followed up quickly with visuals for the song. Repurposing Kanye West's track of the same name, Kids These Day's live instrumentation creates a piece as sonically pleasing as the original, so when it's paired with the skills of director Austin Vesely, something good is bound to happen. Set against a black background and framed by the glow of multicolored lights, Vesely layers the purposefully grainy images together to strengthen the tangible emotions in the song, creating a spectacular visual product that embodies "Flashing Lights". Watch it below and look for more Kids These Days as the summer pushes on.

[Mix] Sean Mac: "Trap VS. Drill"

Drill is wholly a Chicago phenomenon, created and driven by our City's streets. However, the rest of the country seems perfectly content with labeling it trap music, something they are undoubtably more familiar with.. So who better to clear up the confusion that DJ Sean Mac? As one of Chicago's premier DJs, Sean Mac has a wealth of knowledge on the subject, and in this 25 minute mix labeled "Trap VS. Drill" he helps to sharpen the distinction between the two sub-genres. Stream it below and be on the lookout for his Luxury Trap Music III sometime soon (the followup to his banger laced Luxury Trap Music II).
