Childish Gambino- Freaks & Geeks
Some of you probably already know Childish Gambino, other might not. Maybe you know him by his real name, Donald Glover aka Troy on Community or part of the internet sketch comedy group Derrick Comedy. Childish Gambino has started to really come into his own in the rap world and it wouldn't surprise me if more of you knew this guys name by the end of this year. Freaks & Geeks goes along with one of my favorite old shows which he even references to in the song. He has line after line that you could easily quote on Facebook for all your friends to like so listen to this one and enjoy. You can stream the song right here and then grab the mp3 right below if you like what you hear.
Yae- Battle Of The Sexes (Prod. By Rufio)
In case you don't know. Yae is part of Fly High which I post regularly on here, more familiarly with Illecism at the helm. Yae is a beast on the mic and is a real hip-hop head's type of rapper. He isn't about flaunting his chains but more delivering his words. He has an EP with Rufio titled She Hate Me which drops this Friday as well as his solo LP Yaezilla which is due out March 7th. I hope you enjoy this one because I have been bumping it heavily. You can stream/grab the track right below.
Illecism- Midgar Music
I am proud to be able to finally share the first single from Illecism's upcoming LP Cloud Strife with all of you. For those who don't know Illecism is from Sacramento and rolls with a crew called Fly High. He has been on all of your favorite blogs if you want some sort of approval before you listen but my words should be enough. Midgar Music is produced by Trade Voorhees and has honestly become the anthem for my life since I first pressed play on it. I guarantee that after a few listens you won't be able to get this out of your head and if you think this is amazing the rest of Cloud Strife might blow the top of your head. Cloud Strife drops January 30th on www.weareflyhigh.com but I will be back to put it up on here as well. I hope you guys enjoy and you can vibe to the song right below.
Nicki Minaj ft. Lil Wayne: "Roman's Revenge" Remix
I'm not going to cling onto Nicki Minaj's balls and say that I thought this track was amazing since the day it came out, because I didn't. I thought Eminem and then Busta Rhymes on the remix came off weird trying to go on the Nicki adlibs, which was weird since Eminem did that for the album and it was originally Busta's. It wasn't until I heard Wayne's verse that I was like wow this will not be the last time I listen to this song. He absolutely murdered it and it is only a matter of time until your friends read this and start flooding facebook & twitter with quotes. Grab it for yourself right below.
Sean Price: "Untitled"
Sean Price does work in under 2 minutes, which most rappers struggle to get across in an entire project. I don't think I have ever heard one time where he has ever hit the brake pedal on a song and I think that is why I hold him so high. Even when I saw him live, I sort of didn't know what to expect with how the crowd would accept his style but he absolutely tore it apart. Right below you can listen to Sean Price go crazy for 1:11 for this track. which didn't have a name and ended up with Untitled.
"Hair done, nail done, hit 'em with the nail gun"
[Video] Shome- Settle Down
Shome is an artist that I was luckily introduced to late last year by this song actually. Settle Down is a great first listen to the artist known as Shome and I definitely think after listening to this song you are going to want to listen to more from this guy. He was one of the few artists that actually went from a random email to repeat on my iPod. Now he comes through with the visuals to Settle Down which you can view right below. I hope you enjoy it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1xGbsWAoMg

[Video] Kids These Days: "Darling"
How can you not like Kids These Days? These guys and girls are high schoolers straight out of Chicago and come with talent way beyond their years. They bring something that has been missing for a long long time. With Vic Mensa, who we were lucky enough to have a First Look at right here on Ruby Hornet, at the helm alongside some bellowing vocals from Liam Cunningham and Macie Stewart along with a jazz/funk instrumental backing this is just amazingly feel good music. If you are in the Chicago area this Saturday Kids These Days will be performing at Reggie's. You can check out more info about that show right here.

Consequence ft. Kid Cudi- On My Own Snippet
Ah looks like Kid Cudi has resurfaced since the drop of his album. While this snippet that Consequence released doesn't hint much if Cudi will just have hook duty or will actually rap it sounds like the song will definitely have some oomph to it. The production of the track comes from the man himself, Kanye West, so that should give you the first insight on this songs power and Consequence also had this to say, "In a world where we seek validation from OTHERS, Me & Cudi make the Anthem for those who dare to say I can do it "On My Own."
You can check out the song right below.
