[Interview] DJ RTC On Leaving RubyHornet, Focusing on Closed Sessions

rtc1

DJ RTC was recently interviewed by the Chicago Reader about his decision to step down as E-I-C here at RubyHornet, in order to concentrate 110% on ClosedSessions. As I stated on #ClosedSessionsRadio last week, RTC & I are still very good friends and will continue to work together in the near future. In today's Chicago Reader, RTC explains the reasons for his departure from RH, as well as going into great detail on what is next for ClosedSessions. There's a lot to read, so I suggest heading over to The Reader site  & check it out for yourself. Lookout for a special RTC feature on RubyHornet next week. Shouts to RTC for his honesty here. One of the most truthful people I know,  who I can luckily call a great friend.

Danny Brown: "#HottestMC" prod. by Harry Fraud

Danny Brown

Danny Brown is back ready to stir up the pot with his newest track "#HottestMC" prod. by Harry Fraud. First shouts to Danny & Harry for this dope track (Harry w/ the Flute sample). So, MTV put out that list and it seems Danny is a little upset. But rappers, can we all please stop taking MTV lists seriously... Unless you want to be featured in between Teen Mom 2 re-runs...Either way this track is hot, so maybe the anger is good for this situation.

[Saudi Money Presents] Money Talk: Grande Marshall

grande700

So everyone likes to hear from their favorite artists, and over here at RH we've done our best to bring you the livest, most in-depth interviews on some of the games biggest names for over 5 years now. But, there is still a void. Sometimes when interviewing someone there is rightfully some information they may be hesitant to divulge, or share with someone they just met over the phone.

Over the weekend,  ASAAD Saudi Money, hit me up with a dope idea he wanted to bring to the table. After some thinking we came up with "Money Talk", a concise,  interview based feature in which Saudi Money asks the same 5 questions to the assigned artist. The questions follow a different set of guidelines than our normal RH interviews, but the blunt questions are oh so ideal for any Money Talk interview. We kicked off the feature today with fellow Philly emcee, Fools Golds' GrandeMarshall. Hear Saudi & Grande go back & fourth in our premiere edition of "Money Talk." $$
