Holton Rower: 'Pour' Painting
Holton Rower is a New York-based artist who's latest work, Pour, has hit the interweb this week. The pieces feature acrylic paint poured strategically onto 3-d surfaces to create an amazing array of flows and patterns. While not completely uniform, the paintings come pretty close, and you could argue that the real art is in the imperfections. Prolific outerwear label Moncler gave a large middle finger to the entire fashion world earlier this week when they hosted their F/W 2011 Fashion Show smack in the middle of Grand Central Station. New York fashion week is in full swing and its a welcome sight to see brands going beyond the standard-issue fashion show in a loft with complimentary cocktails.
