Eminem, Foo Fighters Among Early Headliners For Lollapalooza
The Chicago Tribune's Greg Kot reported today the Eminem, The Foo Fighters, and Muse are amongst the early headliners of the 2011 edition of Lollapalooza, which will return to Chicago's Grant Park on August 5-7. Other acts are believed to be Lykke Li, Girl Talk, Crystal Castles, and Best Coast. Eminem would be a huge headliner, as well as a big draw. To my knowledge he has not played any show in Chicago in a long time, and I can easily see him boosting Lolla ticket sales on the day that he headlines. Kot also reports that Lollapalooza is expected to announce three additional headliners, and the full lineup should be announced in April.

Kanye West: VMan Spring 2011
Last week we posted a preview video of Kanye West's photo shoot with Karl Lagerfeld for the new issue of VMan Magazine. The No Risk No Reward Issue hit news stands today and there are some pics of the spread floating around. As I mentioned in the previous post, this is the true "put your money where your mouth is" piece, with the magazine literally stuffing dollar bills in Kanye's mouth. The Strokes Confirm Tour Dates, Ready New Single
The Strokes will release their new album, Angles, on March 22nd. The album's first single, "Under Cover of Darkness", will debut 2/9 via The Strokes website and be available for free download for the first 48 hours. It will then be available for purchase starting 2/15. Along with the announcement of their new song, the band has also confirmed their first 5 concerts of 2011. They will play 3/12 in Las Vegas, then do a smattering of international festivals during the summer. Angles is The Strokes' first album since 2006, and their fourth studio LP.
Alfred E. Neuman Gets The Bieber
Justin Bieber is everywhere. Superbowl ads, Saturday Night Live, movie theaters, magazines, you name a medium and there's a Bieber mug lurking around somewhere. He is also the subject of Mad Magazine's February issue, which will hits newstands on 2/16. The long running satirical magazine that pokes fun at any and everything will lampoon Bieber alongside Sarah Palin, XBox Kinect and of course, the Mad fold-in. Excellent.
