[Video] Aaron Paul has a Need for Speed
Even if Breaking Bad is set to end this year, Aaron Paul is determined to stay at the forefront of everybody's minds with a few film roles over the next year. Recently, a behind the scenes featurette for Need for Speed was unveiled with Paul in the lead role for the video game adaptation of the storied racing franchise. Paul will play Tobey, a street racer recently released from prison for a crime he didn't commit. Driven by revenge, he sets out to confront the man who framed him for the crime. Much like the video game series, Need for Speed will focus primarily on street races. However, what can the film do to separate itself from the very successful Fast & Furious franchise?
It's up to director Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) to figure out as Need for Speed will race into theaters on March 14, 2014.

[Trailer] Stranded
http://youtu.be/hdTqEIIxrrM
If you've been wondering where Christian Slater and his crazy eyes have been, he's apparently been Stranded. The sci-fi horror/thriller, directed by Roger Christian (Battlefield Earth), looks to be a generic sci-fi film, complete with various gimmicks and cliches that have been overused numerous times since Alien debuted in 1979. Still, there's a certain level of appeal in seeing Slater pretend to be scared by an unseen alien force.
If anything, Stranded could prove to be a cheap thrill and easy (unintended) laughs when it gets lost in theaters on July 26th.
[Album] Man of Steel Soundtrack
Have you ever wanted to be a superhero? Hans Zimmer is doing what he can to help, as the soundtrack for Man of Steel is available for streaming via Spotify. The score is typical Hans Zimmer fare full of atmospheric, epic instrumentation. If it doesn't inspire you to don a red cape and jump for the clouds, there might be something wrong with you. If you haven't hyped yourself up for Man of Steel, be sure to watch the film's final trailer.
Close your eyes and let Zimmer's music take over your soul below. With such ominous sounding tracks as "Sent Here for a Reason," "If You Love These People," "You Die or I Do," and "What Are You Going to Do When You Are Not Saving the World?" I feel a lot closer to becoming a superhero than ever before.
Behind The Scenes Photos of Iconic Films
The reason why we love movies is that they give us an escape from everyday life. Film has a way of creating things that we could only imagine. We can travel through time in a Delorean, visit a planet ruled by apes, fight with lightsabers, and witness the destruction of a city by a huge lizard-type creature. When it comes to film, the possibilities are endless, so let's take a behind scenes look at some our favorite iconic movies.

[Trailer] The Frozen Ground
[yahoo id="movies.yahoo.com/video/frozen-ground-trailer-intro-222016332"]
Last week, the trailer for Getaway starring Selena Gomez and Ethan Hawke debuted, which struck me as an odd pairing for the Springbreakers actress and Before Midnight actor. However, that's nothing compared to the pairing of Vanessa Hudgens (Springbreakers) and Nicolas Cage (Kick-Ass) in The Frozen Ground. However, unlike the Gomez x Hawke duo, it appears that Hudgens and Cage will be able to co-exist, perhaps due to the film's premise.
Based on a true story, writer/director Scott Walker's The Frozen Ground is about an Alaskan detective, Jack Holcombe (Cage), investigating a case involving the serial murderer Robert Hansen (John Cusack), who has been targeting teenage girls. When a break in the case appears in the form of an escaped victim, Cindy (Hudgens), Holcombe uses her information to find Hansen.
Now, I'm not a big fan of Nicolas Cage (at all), but The Frozen Ground has me very interested. Based on the trailer, it appears Hudgens has finally found a role that can actually challenge her to expand on her acting ability, which should be a good move for her career. I'm still going to keep reserved, as I don't see The Frozen Ground making too much noise when it comes out on August 23rd, but I'm definitely open for a surprise.

Tom Hardy starring in Takashi Miike's first English-language movie, The Outsiders
Tom Hardy has built up a reputation as a versatile actor, playings roles that are both physically and mentally taxing from Bronson to Warrior to last year's The Dark Knight Rises. His dedication to the craft is definitely paying off, as he has a variety of films coming up, such as George Miller's reboot of the Mad Max franchise, Mad Max: Fury Road, Steven Knight's directorial debut, Locke, Michael R. Roskam's (Bullhead) Animal Rescue, and is in talks to portray Elton John in the proposed biopic of the singer, Rocketman.
Yet despite having a full slate of projects to carry him well into next year, word has come out that Hardy will star in The Outsider, which will serve as Takashi Miike's English-language debut. A few days after the trailer for his film, Wara No Tate was released, the news of an English-language Takashi Miike film is the perfect way to cap off the week. The Outsider, which will be produced independently by Silver Pictures, will focus on Hardy's character, a former World War II GI, becoming a part of Japan's Yakuza. Takashi Miike certainly knows how to direct a Japan-set period piece, and with Hardy attached to the project, this has makings to be another cult film for the director.

[Trailer 2] Man of Steel
http://youtu.be/dwYatpwrs8s
With Man of Steel out next week, one final look has been released exclusively by Nokia. If you haven't already been bombarded by the ample coverage and trailers for the next Superman film, this trailer should bring you up to speed. Zack Snyder (Sucker Punch) is attempting to do for Clark Kent what Christopher Nolan, who's also producing Man of Steel, did for Batman. Henry Cavill (The Tudors) will be donning the cape withRussell Crowe (Gladiator), Amy Adams (The Muppets), Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire), Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), and Kevin Costner (The Bodyguard) are supporting.
Remember, Man of Steel will be setting out to flight in theaters next week.
