ESPN the Magazine's 2014 Body Issue Photos
ESPN the Magazine's annual "Body Issue" is set to hit newsstands this Friday. Featuring athletes of all sizes, the Body Issue celebrates athletes from all different sports and body types, ranging from super slender swimmers to super buff boxers. In fact, Texas Rangers' Prince Fielder is one of the six featured athletes on the cover, which attracted some notoriety considering Fielder's size. Nevertheless, this is further proof that ESPN the Magazine is willing to showcase a wide variety of body types. Other athletes featured on the cover include snowboarder Jamie Anderson, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, Oklahoma City Thunders' Serge Ibaka, and tennis star Venus Williams. Also included in the "Bodies We Want" shoot are Team USA hockey player Hillary Knight, motocross rider Travis Pastrana, surfer Coco Ho, snowboarder Amy Purdy, boxer Bernard Hopkins, Atlanta Dream's Angel McCoughtry, and more.

Sony Xperia C3 Smartphone Is Built For Selfie Lovers
I guess it was only a matter of time before a company would make a smartphone aimed directly at those that love taking selfies. It seems like nowadays, taking selfies has just become the norm and has become part of the culture we live in. If you enjoy taking selfies, the Sony Xperia C3 might be a match made in heaven. What Sony has created is a smartphone that sports a wide angle 5 megapixel front-facing camera with a built-in soft LED flash, making it very easy to capture those special moments.
Not only does the Sony Xperia C3 have front-facing flash, there are some other software features that should help make the selfie-taking process a little easier, like a Smile Shutter, AR effects, and a feature that lets you tap the back of the phone to take a picture. Now, this smartphone probably won't change the digital photography game, and it won't be for everybody, but if you really like taking selfies you might want to give this a try.

Aperture Replacement APP OS X Photos Will Offer Many Features
Last week, Apple made an announcement that they would no longer be developing the popular photo management software Aperture and have instead decided to discontinue it. The reason being was that the company wanted to focus its time and energy developing the new Photos App. Since the Photos App is still in the works, there has not been a lot of information released to the public but it is known that the app will offer "professional grade features such as image search, editing, effects, and most notably, third party extensibility."
With some of these features, it will be interesting to see what the final product will look like and if it will become a full fledged replacement for Aperture or possibly something more. What will prove to be interesting is the third party extensibility feature and what it means for the users as far as editing capabilities go, but I guess will have to wait and see what unfolds for Apple's new Photos app.

Capturing Photos Inside a Wave by Clark Little
Photos by Clark Little
Photographer Clark Little is incredible at capturing photos inside some of pretty fierce waves. In fact, some of his photos were shot by diving head first into some of the world's largest waves, and he's not stopping.
Little started out as a surfer lover on the North Shore of the Hawaiian island of Oahu. After wanting a good photo of a wave for his home, he ventured out into the ocean to capture it himself, and the rest is history. Now he conquers the big surf with nothing more than flippers and a camera, and his work has reached audiences around the world.
The photos really just speak for themselves, they are crisp, dangerous, refreshing, all natural and just beautiful. Check out some of our favorites below, and be sure to follow his Instagram here. Also check out this very intriguing interview, and tag-along with Vice here.

Emily Ratajkowski Covers GQ's July 2014 Issue
It's officially summer, so it's only natural that Emily Ratajkowski graces the cover of GQ yet again. Ever since EmRata appeared in Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" video, her stock has steadily soared, perhaps even matching fellow model Kate Upton's popularity. With a role in David Fincher's upcoming Gone Girl this October, it's only a matter of time before Ratajkowski becomes an international sex icon... if she wasn't already considered one. Considering EmRata's popularity on Ruby Hornet in the past, it's only fitting that we spotlight her latest spread in GQ with these photos shot by Michael Thompson. Honestly, what makes a summer photo spread possess more of a "summer" vibe than a girl in a bikini covered in dirt and mud?
Check out GQ's latest photos and a behind the scenes video with EmRata below.

Adobe has recently announced some new stuff that should interest all of those that subscribe to their Creative Cloud service. Not too long ago, Adobe announced that they would be releasing a mobile version of Lightroom to all of its Creative Cloud subscribers, but it was initially only available for the iPad. That has recently changed as users will now be able to use the mobile version of Adobe Lightroom on their iPhone as well.
There is also an upgrade to the Photography Creative Cloud plan which is still being offered for $9.99 a month, but includes more bang for your buck. Included in the bundle is Photoshop CC, Lightroom, Lightroom Mobile, and the newly released app, Photoshop Mix. This free app was designed to organize all your photos into one central spot, as well as having photo editing capabilities. Everything is available now at Adobe for download, and it should be quite valuable to all the photographers out there.
