[Video] Kendrick Lamar: "B*tch, Don't Kill My Vibe" (Director's Cut)

Clad in all white, Kendrick Lamar celebrates the life of an unknown entity in his latest video for "B*tch, Don't Kill My Vibe." The video's shot with a somewhat soft saturation, matching the song's laidback, sometimes-somber tone. Mike Epps (Next Friday) makes a cameo in the video, baptizing Lamar in a pool full of liquor. There's an easter egg at the end of the video, too, so keep your eyes open for that.

[Video] DJ Oreo: "#1DayAtATime" (Ep. 2)

DJ Oreo might not be a familiar name to our readers yet, nonetheless, at the rate this young Chicagoan is working, his name should be pretty recognizable by the end of the summer. Oreo currently DJ's for the 2008ighties' crew, Alex Wiley and Chance The Rapper, and his high-energy personality hypes both the emcee and the crowd unlike many modern-day DJ's who lack the charismatic trait and the ability to grasp the attitude of a venue. He recently started a vlog series that basically gives us a insider's view on what goes on behind-the-scenes for your favorite rapper's show. In episode two, he bids farewell to the KTD and Chance The Rapper March Madness tour with a hilariously dope song called "Bugatti Blues", watch below.

[Video] Vic Mensa: "Did It B4" + KTD Breakup

Vic Mensa was arguably the first artist from this booming Chicago generation to obtain national attention when he released his debut EP Straight Up, a couple of years ago. Now that everybody is trying to share the spotlight, Vic felt fitting to remind you all who paved the way with this new video/single entitled "Did It B4". The SaveMoney emcee murked the track with straight raps and no fillers, while director Austin Vesely brings the eccentric and edgy feeling the song transpires through a visual perspective.

On a sad note though, today was officially announced the Kids These Days break-up. Vic talked to XXL about the split:

"It’s never going to be an “I hate you” type of situation. For the most part it’s a happy settlement. There were certain moves made by some people that weren’t all the way stand-up moves, but at the end of the day there isn’t really any bad blood. It’s not like I can’t be in the room with everybody in the band, and I wish everybody the best. But the band breaking up wasn’t my ultimatum, I didn’t bring that to the table, but once it was brought to the table it kind of opened up a world I’d already been living in in my own head for a while. I just see it as a great opportunity. Kids These Days was great and it was a lot of fun, but now I want to do something different."

We wish everyone involved in KTD the best of luck in any future endeavors and hopefully we'll hear more from them individually soon!

[Video] Lili K: "Highlight the Moon"

It's been a good week for Chicagoan singer Lili K. In a week where her features on Chance the Rapper's "Acid Rap" received some much-deserved praise from publications such as the LA Times, the very talented singer released the video for her latest single off of her EP, "Metal Petals." Entitled "Highlight the Moon," the video, which was co-directed by Addison Wright and Lili K herself, showcases the ups and downs of the fictional relationship between Lili and Chicago tattoo artist extraordinaire Jason Hoodrich. The use of a Super 8-esque filter adds a soft, nostalgic saturation to the video that perfectly matches the song's reflective theme. It's always the attention to details that can help elevate the level of quality; good choice, guys.

You can download "Metal Petals" on Lili K's website here. If you're in Chicago, be sure to check out Lili K. and Peter CottonTale live TONIGHT at The Shrine (2109 S. Wabash) at 7pm for free!

[Video] Dally Auston: "W$GTM"

Capitalizing on the success of his debut full-length project The Wood, Dally Auston brings us a visual gem in the brand new video for "W$GTM". Catch Dally Auston chilling in Chicago's west-side with Jean Deaux, Joey Purp, Tokyo Shawn and handful of other Save Money affiliates below and get to know who really gets the money. Also, I really digged the artistic style director Verluxe implemented with the shots and how it synced perfectly the Smoko Ono-produced beat.

[Video] Phero: "V"

Phero hits Chicago’s streets alongside director Stephan Klapko while rocking a dope Vintage White Sox tee and a ski-mask for the badass video to “V” off his The Five Columns project. The menacing beat produced by Chris Classik fits perfectly with Phero’s raw delivery and flow while the emcee spits some of the best lines I’ve heard all year. Stay on the look out for the ‘tape, coming out May 24th.

[Video] Wheatie: "My 708's"

Wheatie walks through an abandoned house in this anti-climatic visual for his "My 708's" song. This dude has been growing on me with every new release, can't wait to see what he has planned for the near future.
