Back in July I posted a BBC Radio one radio rip of his new track “Def Surrounds Us”. Today Shadow is here with the CDQ of “Def Surrounds Us” and a newer laid back cut “I’ve Been Trying To”.  While much different the first release this summer, his tracks are still experimentally appealing and innovative as usual. These tracks appear to be off his yet to be titled LP, do out in 2011. According to NME, “The vinyl tracks, called ‘Def Surrounds Us’ and ‘I’ve Been Trying’, have been given to selected stores in the UK and US, and also placed randomly in shops across Europe, where DJ Shadow is currently on tour.” DJ Shadow said of this “”I’d rather give away free vinyl than a download, because to me, downloads are so impersonal and soulless”. Dunno if downloading or streaming his track is “soulless”, but I do agree with the unmatched sense of care one has with vinyl compared to any other musical medium. Only one DJ Shadow. Hit the jump for the tracks downloads. Click here to read more on Shadow’s new tracks and European Tour.
