Josh Brolin might be exchanging his Oldboy hammer for a… dinosaur hammer. Rumor has it that Brolin is being targeted for a role in the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel, Jurassic World. While the Safety Not Guaranteed duo, Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, are in control of the film, no details have surfaced about the film’s plot. However, rumors of New Girl‘s Jake Johnson (who also starred in Safety Not Guaranteed) being targeted have been floating, following word that Bryce Dallas Howard (50/50), Ty Simpkins (Insidious: Chapter 2), and Nick Robinson have joined the film.

Considering Brolin’s pedigree, it’s safe to assume he’ll play the lead role, perhaps in the same capacity as Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcolm in the original Jurassic Park films. Whatever the case, Jurassic World needs to enter production quickly. The sooner Hollywood has more dinosaurs, the better for all of us.
