Twin Shadow: "I Can't Wait"
Twin Shadow just can't wait. His impatience is expressed in his buzzing single "I Can't Wait". The song references what was actually good about 80's new wave, making listeners immediately think, "I've heard this before!" And the long instrumental solo, with building hand claps is just perfect for a music video set inside a dance studio. Throw in Freddie Mercury's mustache, and Twin Shadow (George Lewis) has a winning combo. His full length debut is title Forget and will be dropping closer to the fall.
The Postelles: "White Night" Video
"I got a problem and it drains my soul."
The Postelles strike musical gold with "White Night". The song is catchy and poppy without being a complete commercial-cheese fest. And the video, well as soon as that chick answered the door in the opening scene everything pretty much fell into place. I'm looking forward to more from this NYC crew, who's debut album will be released Oct. 12th. Check out "White Night" after the jump.

Jay Electronica and Joell Ortiz Rock For OnSmash
Onsmash hosted a gala affair last night at The Highline Ballroom last night, and these dudes did some hardcore footage turnaround, giving us videos featuring Jay Electronica and Joell Ortiz, who brought out Fat Joe, Joe Budden, Novel and others during his set. Rick Ross: "Super High" featuring Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y
Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y can make a case for being the go-to features when you need to enhance any song about smoking weed. The duo, who collaborated on a full mixtape project entitled How Fly, may also be able to make claim as the heir apparent to a weed-smokers throne once held by Method Man and Redman. Here Rick Ross picks them for the remix to his smooth single, "Super High". This collaboration is interesting in that it also continues the trend of blurring the lines between independent and major, underground and mainstream as top money makers of the past decade are going to the young gunners of the Internet era more and more often these days. And with Curren$y's Clyde Drexler references and clever word play describing day to day "highs" and lows of the everyman, how can you lose?

Frank 151: 151 Pieces featuring Gourmet
The latest issue of Frank151 is essentially a fashion show in book form, featuring 151 essential pieces for summer attire. To coincide with the issue, Frank151 is doing a slew of events and mini-features in collaboration with many of the brands highlighted. They recently put on the 151-piece fashion show which you can watch here. As you already know, Gourmet has become a favorite around here, and not just because of the quality footwear. Gourmet has always been interested in the upper echelon of life, including food.
