"Ain't a place but the slammer you could stay in your pajamas, eating three meals a day and living in a room rent free."

This song is one that did not make Reality Bites, but is still dope.  It is also a follow up to Sene's "WonLover", which appeared on his LP produced entirely by Blu.

RH Events: Fashionably Late w/Donnis Live At The Shrine

Donnis

Digtial Freshness continues Thursday June 10th with a special live performance from Atlantic Records/Fool's Gold Recording artists Donnis.  Since the release of his proper debut, The Diary of An Atlanta Brave with international clothing brand Ten.Deep, Donnis has been one of Hip Hop's most buzzing artists.  He was featured in the coveted "Freshmen Issue" of XXL Magazine and labeled one of 2010's top 10 new faces in Hip Hop music.  He also released the single "Gone" with DJ A-Trak's label "Fool's Gold".  The video for "Gone" has since been a mainstay on MTV Jams.  Donnis' buzz continues to rise as he prepares for the release of an EP and mixtape both entitled Fashionably Late on June 22nd.

The concert takes place 6.10.10 at The Shrine (2109 S. Wabash) and will also feature sounds by RubyHornet's DJ RTC.  Pre-sale tickets are $10 and can be found at www.clubtix.net/theshrine.

This is Donnis' second show with RubyHornet.  In June of 2009 Donnis performed at RubyHornet's Dimes and Dozens monthly at Lava Lounge.  The night was a complete smash and pictures from that debauchery can be found here

Drake: "Light It Up" featuring Jay-Z

Drake

"I just want to tell the truth..."

Damn, they even got the Jay-Z feature?!  Splash posted "Light Up" off a new Evil Empire mixtape, and it's simply really, really good. Drake's debut album drops June 15th, hopefully it doesn't continue to leak in bits and pieces before then.  It creates a somewhat "damned if you do, damned if you don't effect."  I guess, I'm theoretically in favor of music not leaking as a music fan.  But... the music does leak and it does get posted all over, so what are we to do? That's something for a different discussion.  Jay-Z tells Drake what he should do to continue his climb in the music biz, and it is as entertaining as it is informative.  Grab it below.
