Freddie Gibbs: "Ghetto" Video Trailer

This is super-super official. Big respect and props to Brandon Riley, who we've been able to see grow tremendously right in our backyard... Freddie Gibbs shot down to Gary, Indiana shortly after returning from Austin, Texas and shot a video for his powerful track, "Ghetto". Handling a song that heavy is a serious task to any director, and Brandon (with support from Fakeshoredrive) seems to have hit a homerun with this one, which will debut on MTV Jams on Friday. Check out the trailer below.

Big Sean: "Made" featuring Drake
I'll take a late pass on this new joint by Big Sean, featuring Drake. I think it could be safe to assume this one was recorded in Hawaii, but I am still just assuming. The record is another leak off Big Sean's Finally Famous debut, which is starting to become a long time in the making. It seems like someone at the label is still waiting on that big club record, or the record that kids will sing along to and feel it's describing their life. I'm not quite sure this is that record, but it is a solid effort. Drake and Big Sean both rap well, referencing such things as Ron Burgundy, Mick Jagger, highlighters, tag-teams and platonic friends. Download it after the jump.

M-Dot: "No Money Down"
Boston's M-Dot turns in a gem with "No Money Down", a track that really emphasizes that there's nothing free in this world. Every artist, DJ, emcee etc, needs to pay their dues, as well as realize the time when their dues start to pay them back. It's something that was told to me over the weekend by Mr. Cartoon who spoke at Saint Alfred's on Saturday. He talked about his days doing "free" tattoos in the sense that he was not charging for the work, but that he used every opportunity to show off his portfolio and add to it thus making his free work pay off. He also talked about the day that he set his first price, and how although he may have needed the money, he never lowered his price just to get a client. Anyway, this post is about M-Dot, so check out the new music after the jump. Mr. Cartoon interview coming soon.

The Black Keys: "Next Girl" Video
A few weeks ago, we posted the audio for the Black Keys' new song, "Next Girl", which will appear on the 5.18. release, Brothers. For the new video we are taken poolside where pool honeys in 70's pool attire dance around and play water games with a lipsyncing dinosaur named Frank. The Black Keys are totally against this video, as we're told through scrolling yellow font. It's quite hilarious, and pretty damn good. See it below.

RH First Look: Das Racist

Das Racist can be a tough group to figure out, and as our attempt shows, an equally tough crew to interview. With songs such as "Combination Pizza Hut Taco Bell" and Rainbow In The Dark" and the ever always fun, "Chicken and Meat" you may think the duo of Victor and Himanshu are just fun, games, and jokes. And for the most part, you might be right.
We set out to discover more behind the multi-cultural crew that is shaking things up in more ways than one. For all their randomness and jokes, there's seems to be a serious side that is hard to get at, but there none the less, tracing back to the duo's introduction during their college years and shared living quarters in their school's Students of Color For Social Justice dormitory. From the name to the music, Das Racist's main goal appears to be either be a brilliant strategy of remaining hard to catch and figure out... That, or they're just as clueless as everyone else, and still trying to figure out if they're at Pizza Hut or Taco Bell. Get to know them (or at least try) a little better in this new and exclusive RH First Look.
