A Day In The Life of Wale
I'm wondering if anyone else noticed the following 2 things... One, didn't Wale already do an extensive day in the life type of project (that was super dope)? Two, is it fair to call performing at Coachella a "day in the life"? I mean, it's not like Wale performs at a massive U.S. festival everyday. I would say that even to Wale, this day is extraordinary. I'd much rather see a day in the life of like f**king buying milk or some s**t. Anyway, props to 13thwitness cause this video is proper and official. See it below.

Reupspot x YNotMyDream: After This, Shut Up

I met Anthony from YNotMyDream I'm guessing about a year ago. It's good to see a young kid on the come up, and that's what we have with Mr. YNMD. He teamed up with the Reupspot to bring forth After This, Shutup a new mixtape featuring an ungodly 46 different rappers. That's a lot of f**king rappers. Seriously, there are even 2 back covers. This is probably the first internet only release that has a "disc 1" and "disc 2". Anyway, it's all for the love and hopefully you all love the tape. Download it here.

Common Introduces "Just Wright" At Chicago Screening

I did not attend last night's screening of "Just Wright", but our homie AB was there and got a clip of Common introducing the film and speaking to its themes. Common applauded the film's message saying,
"People need to see African-American characrters in different lights... The substance and the layers and the themes of [the movie] mean so much to what our culture is. It's great to see black people in classy ways, in classic ways."
See the rest after the jump. Props to Fakeshoredrive.

As Michael Kolar says, there's always a right time for Roscoe Dash. A-Trak makes playing the R.Dash/Soulja Boy joint that much more playable with this "Trizzy Turnt Up" remix. Props to The Fader. Das Racist has a guest blog for XXL, and trio decided to use the forum for real-time music reviews. Props on that! They chose Chicago's own BBU and the BBU x DJ RTC mixtape, Fear of A Clear Channel Planet. The fellas go back and forth via a gmail chat and state their thoughts on each track, as well as provide info on bathroom breaks. Das Racist give BBU the approval, and also ask themselves why the two crews have yet to collaborate. Let's make that a Closed Session!
