G.O.D. Jewels: "Toys"
Check this out, this song is pretty dope and I've been listening to it quite a bit lately. "Toys" a track by Chicago native G.O.D Jewels and is featured on his upcoming mixtape slated to drop some time in early June. The production is NICE and flow is ILL as well. I am pretty anxious to hear the rest of the tape. Alexander the Great produced the track, I hadn't heard anything from him prior to this record and I must say I am impressed...I was also not really familiar with Jewels' work until recently, but I look forward to hearing more from the guy.
Five Four Summer 2009 Lookbook
L.A., Five Four, has just released their Summer 2009 Lookbook. This season Five Four takes on a more nautical, and coastal approach influenced by the shores of the Pacific Ocean. The pieces are light weight, clean lined garments that represent the brand of Five Four quite well. The price point on the items are another plus as well seeing that Five Four sells quality but does not over price. Check out a few more shots right after the jump.

Soft Focus w/Adrock
From our friends at Vice TV.
This week on Soft Focus we have Beastie Boy Adam Horovitz , King Ad Rock, on the couch for a nice chat NYC style with Ian.
All choices in life come with that "what if..." side of the coin. Back in '86 Ad Rock went to buy the Paul Weller black and white Rickenbacker. But when he got to the store he saw an 808 drum machine that he had previously heard about. He ended up buying the 808 instead of his dream guitar, and thus began the chain of events that have led us up to today. What if he had gone with the Rickenback? Surely my teen years would have still be stoned but would they have been as much fun? Probs not.
What else does King Ad Rock discuss? How about discovering LL Cool J for starters.
Set aside 15 minutes and watch all four parts below...
