Danny Brown

“A Terror on the mic, not a f**king Mic Terror, no disrespect to that Chicago fella.”

Today marks the release of Paul White’s new album, Rapping with Paul White. The UK producer brought in emcess such as Guilty Simpson, Homeboy Sandman, and Danny Brown to fill out the “rapping with” part of the LP.  To go along with the album’s release, we have “One of Life’s Pleasures”, a psychedelic, and piano heavy record that sounds like a sunny afternoon. Brown brings his signature similes, and references, even one to Chicago’s Mic Terror, and possibly YP as he ends his verse with “I’m not kidding, I ain’t get No Sleep”.  Brown was in Chicago last month for an edition of Digital Freshness with us at Beauty Bar.   Brown is a self-acclaimed Hip Hop nerd, so the fact that he’s familiar with all this is not that surprising.
