[Video] Lucki Eck$: "Boomin"
The economy may not be doing well still, but Chicago's own Lucki Eck$, who popped up onto the national radar last year with his sinewy, shadowy rhymes calmly detailing how he served folks on the corner dropped a new video today to debut his fresh track, "Boomin" which details how he has invigorated himself with his own version of a stimulus package. The latest to emerge from Lucki's camp is a continuation of where we saw him last summer, in the dark, carefully detailing his stories of dealing while draped from head to toe in Jugrnaut. Lucki spent last year establishing his name on the back of his excellent breakthrough project, Alternative Trap, it'll be interesting to see where it goes from here. [Video] Lucki Eck$: "Count On Me"
Chicago's own Lucki Eck$ made waves earlier this year with the release of his breakthrough debut project, Alternative Trap. The ambient trap-influenced airiness of the mixtape's overall aesthetic and beats matched Lucki's unique, off-beat, shadowy tone in his rhymes which acted as yet another interesting take on the genre from a Chicago artist. The tape has brought considerable attention to the somewhat mysterious artist, enough that his next project will be one of the most anticipated releases in awhile.
Today, we get the video for Lucki's track "Count On Me", produced by hytman and directed by JKrown, the visual details Lucki and co. wandering and bopping their way down the streets of Wicker Park. Surreal is a word often used to describe the young artist on the rise, a word that aptly describes the accompanying visual element to the track. Check out "Count On Me" below.

[Video] Lucki Eck$: "Alternative Trap" Release Party Promo
Lucki Eck$ profile rose significantly this year thanks in part by a strong backing from Elevator Mag and FSD's Andrew Barber, but to not properly credit his success due to the talent Lucki possess and the quality of the material he has released so far would be highly inaccurate and extremely wrong. The emcee is a genius when it comes to wordplay, which helps him give us his unique vision in a very enhancing way and his non-chalant flow submerges you even more into the aesthetics of the trap stories he tells in his songs. That's truly why his upcoming tape is one of year's most awaited projects.
Alternative Trap is set to drop on July 25 and a release part will be held on July 24 at New Era store, to promote the 'tape and the event, Lucki linked up once again with Elevator to shoot a quick video that sheds some light behind the concept of Alternative Trap. Peep below.
