[Mixtape] Na$im Williams: "Na$im World Order: Black & White"

Serving as a prelude to the forthcoming EP, Welcome To The Grindhouse, Na$im Williams has put out a compilation 'tape entitled Na$im World Order: Black & White, which features some of the biggest records the Treated Crew producer has dropped in 2013. Also, watch out for another instrumental project by Na$im dropping in August.

Scientific: "SmokeWeedF*ckABadChick" (prod. by MikeJaxx)

"SmokeWeedF*ckABadChick" is Chicago rapper Scientific's first single off of his mixtape, Make Money Make History vol.2. Produced by LOD/Treated Crew/The Hydrox' MikeJaxx, the song is about achieving your dreams. For Scientific, it involves stacking money, smoking weed, and doing sex with a bad chick. Isn't that everybody's dream? Check out the song below.

Thelonious Martin: "Wake Up"

Thelonious Martin brings us a new instrumental to jam to on this lazy-Sunday and he makes you truly "Wake Up" with another classic sample flip that we've come to expect from the young producer. Not sure if this will end up in any project, but I'm just glad we got some new smoothness to end the weekend properly.

[Video] MC Tree G Live @ Pitchfork Music Fest

MC Tree G's path to rocking the stage at Pitchfork Fest this past weekend was paved by his life experiences, two superb Sunday School tapes and his Soul Trap production that took people off-guard by its raw and street-oriented yet soulful sound. Tree definitely seemed to grasp the moment and enjoyed the fruition of his work as he performed at Union Park with a smile on his face and a positive energy that transmitted onto those who were lucky enough to catch his set. Unfortunately, I wasn't part of that group of people and will have to settle with these two new videos Pitchfork uploaded of Tree performing "The King" & "Devotion", which are able to capture some of the aura surrounding the set, although it probably isn't anything compared to the real thing. Luckily for those who are in the same predicament as me, Tree has a show in The Shrine on August 3rd and it's free if RSVP here!

[Mixtape] The Boy Illinois: "Jean Baptiste"

The Boy Illinois did a little promo-run not too long in which he visited the offices of MTV, XXL and others to preview his now released 'tape Jean Baptiste. The reaction from that tastemakers that got the chance to hear the 'tape a little early have come out with great feedback and after listening to the project you'll be able to see why they talk so highly of Jean Baptiste. Illi has always been an ambitious dude that knows in what direction he wants to take his sound and the 'tape is a major success in both conception and execution. Peep below.

[Video] Doc Da Mindbenda: "Mic Vic" (feat. Vic Spencer & Mic Terror)

Vic Spencer & Mic Terror are known as individuals that never hold anything back and always speak what's on their mind, no matter what's the social's stance or who they might offend. Put them together on track and you get a two-headed monster that will devour anything that shows a hint of weakness, add a menacing Doc Da Mindbenda instrumental and it's a wrap for all wack rappers. When you hear both emcees spitting out "Call me Mic Vic, I don't like shit", you should know better than to question if that statement is factual.

The video goes as hard as the track with Treated Crew and SaveMoney coming together in what looks to be an abandoned lot and going reckless while Vic & Mic stand in the front and deliver their verses with a cool misdemeanor only those two can. Directed by Jake Gaza and Jimmy Regular for Point • and • Shoot.

The Grinhouse --a.k.a. the house Doc buit--will drop a new EP soon entitled Welcome To The Grindhouse, which will showcase the talent that studio holds, stay tuned for more updates in the near future!
